Max & the Magic Marker draws new life on iPhone, iPad

Max & the Magic Marker sales probably dried up on WiiWare long ago, but, with the help of EA Mobile, Demark-based indie Press Play has uncapped its puzzle-platformer for use on iOS devices. Both an iPhone and iPad version are now available on the App Store.

Max & The Magic Marker for iOS live in App Store today

Today, Max and the Magic Marker (winner of the Independent Games Festival 2010 D2D Vision Award), went live in the App Store for iPad and iPhone! Max & the Magic Marker is a puzzle platformer, with a unique drawing mechanic. You control the young boy Max, who received a mysterious marker in the mail. The first thing Max draws is a monster. As soon as the pen leaves the paper, the monster comes to life and jumps into another drawing. Oh no, it must be stopped! Max draws himself onto the page and the chase begins.

The game is based on a basic drawing mechanic, where everything drawn becomes physical objects. The object of the game is to get our beloved hero Max to the end of each level. This requires skill controlling Max and overcoming dangers and obstacles, and creative thinking when tools are needed like a big hat to avoid the acid rain or a seesaw when something up high must be fixed.

More information on Max & the Magic Marker can be found at www.eamobile.com or maxandthemagicmarker.com. Max and the Magic Marker is published by EA Mobile and developed by Press Play in Denmark.
