Zoo Entertainment announces Wanted Corp for PC and PSN

Cincinnati-based developer/publisher Zoo Entertainment recently announced its most ambitious project to date: A PSN and PC third-person-shooter titled Wanted Corp. The downloadable game pits two players in the shoes of the hilariously-named Neal H. MadDogg and Irina Zimoy, who must use their expansive armories and latent psychic abilities to kill or capture 26 different kinds of enemies in a massive, extraterrestrial bounty hunt. The game's press release announcement also promises PlayStation Move support -- assumedly for directing the duo's destruction.

Completing said bounties (or other secondary objectives) garners said hunters cash, which they can spend on new weapons or upgraded abilities. Hopefully, they'll also be able to drop some cash at their local alien courthouse, and purchase whatever documents they'd need to have their names legally changed. Wanted Corp is due this Summer for $9.99 -- until then, spend some time getting to know Mr. MadDogg in the game's debut trailer, posted after the jump!

Third-Person Shooter Game To Feature PlayStation® Move Functionality and Cooperative Gameplay

Cincinnati, OH - May 4, 2011 - Zoo Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ CM: ZOOG), a leading developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software, today announced plans to release Wanted Corp, a third-person shooter game for the PC and PlayStation® Network, this summer with additional functionality for PlayStation® Move.

"Embracing new genres is important for our continued growth," said Mark Seremet, CEO of Zoo Entertainment. "As our first entry in the third-person shooting game genre, Wanted Corp is a thrilling, multiplayer action title that moves us into new territory."

In Wanted Corp, players become bounty hunters to capture ruthless fugitives who have escaped from a prison ship that crash-landed on an alien planet. Taking on the roles of Neal H. MadDogg, a heavy weapons expert, and Irina Zimoy, a psychic powerhouse, players can toggle between characters and choose to play in single-player, local or online co-op gameplay modes.

Traversing dangerous terrain through four different campaigns, players wield a variety of weapons and kinetic powers - machine guns, grenades, telekinesis, protective shields and lightning - to eliminate or arrest more than 26 various kinds of enemies including fierce bosses, sentry robots and mechanical spiders. Environments also pose challenges as shooters must navigate obstacles while battling opponents in diverse settings such as hostile jungles, murky swamps and a secret, underground base. Additionally, players can earn credits for capturing enemies, finding hidden objects and completing secondary missions, which can be used to upgrade abilities, change weapons, pay for treatments and more.

Wanted Corp will be available Summer 2011 for PC and PlayStation Network priced at $9.99.
