WRUP: The hottest rhyme 1988 has to offer

Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as WRUP. Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game, and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

Yo, my name is Fox
I'm a real big deal
I write What U Playin'
I got sex appeal

You think you cool
think you so damn great
But you rappin like it
nineteen eighty-eight

Steal your rhymes
from LFO
Talk about Abercrombie
then you good to go

This week I'm gonna
totally phone it in
Put a video up
then go for a swim

So later suckers
I'm outta here
Got a bonus question
Here it is real clear:

Cross-realm groups
the service is go
When it costs money
will you pay the dough?

Adam Holisky (@AdamHolisky) PVP time for the druid and me. I hope to pull in enough to buy a few honor pieces this weekend. Looking forward to trying the cross-realm thing, but might not be paying for it. A lot of the regular folks I play with are on my realm, so no real need.

Alex Ziebart (@AlexZiebart) This weekend is going to be raiding, Assassin's Creed 2, and working on non-WoW Insider writing projects. Personally, I probably won't pay for cross-realm grouping unless I buddy up with some of the WoW Insider crew in game. Beyond them, all of my pals are on my server already.

Anne Stickney (@shadesogrey) Working on some projects around the house this weekend, most likely. Also I get to watch my sister's animals as her family is out of town for the weekend, which means I get to play with the new kitten, yay -- and also raiding on Sunday as usual. As for the cross-realm grouping, I won't be taking part in it. No real reason to.

Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) I should unlock the druids of the Talon on my DK this weekend. Also, my hunter should have enough VP to buy my DK a pair of bracers in a few more runs, so I'll be making both of those things happen. I'm not sure that I'll be doing much with the RID grouping. I have enough friends to group with on my home server.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) L.A. Noire, Lego Harry Potter and Dungeon Siege 3 are all on the table, as are Chaos Rings and various Gameloft rip-offs on the phone. I'll use it for now, but I'm not paying -- I really don't play enough for that.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) Ridiculously busy weekend. I recorded a segment for our own Mat McCurley's wowMATwow videocast, ran some heroics with WoW Insider readers (@cutaia_net), and started coding my own playable RPG game. I also got to get some Indian food with Tyler and laid out my plans for a Murmurs-themed questing hub, complete with dailies where you burn Murmurs in effigy and /spit on his grave. And that's all just the first half of the weekend.

After testing it out the other day, I'm totally all in on this cross-realm grouping idea. So long as it's not expensive, I'll be signing up.

Joe Perez (@Lodurzj) More WoW, some LoL and a whole lot of a new game for XBLA called Warhammer 40K: Kill Team. It's a third-person shooter where players get to play as space marines in a small, surgical team against the orc invaders on an imperial forge world. So cool! I"m going to be playing this quite a bit, I can already imagine.

As far as the cross-realms Real ID, yeap, I'll be paying for it. I moved servers not too long ago, and it gives me the ability to play with friends I haven't been able to in quite a while. It also lets me play with my big sister and her husband, which we haven't been able to since the days of vanilla WoW. I'm very excited about this and will gladly shell out real money for it.

Josh Myers (@elamqt) I'm really conflicted about alts lately. My hunter bores me, but is my only other 85 on my server and I need valor braces on my main, so I might need to get it together and just play her. That or work on leveling my feral to 85.

As for Real ID, my discretionary income says no, but since almost every one of my RID friends are off server, I really want to.

Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra) I've been bitten badly by the drawing bug, so I plan to get a ton of drawing done this weekend. This may or may not include going to this months' Comic Jam downtown. I also may or may not be working through season one of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Don't be hatin'.

As for WoW, I'm still sadly five days behind everyone else for Hyjal dailies, so I'll be doing those and grabbing a few wayward achievements as well. I'm also having fun leveling my militaristic tauren ret pally.

Lisa Poisso (@emused) I'm not playing anything this weekend. I'll be barricaded in my bedroom, hiding from the din of my family's rampaging obsession with Dead Block. I definitely won't be indulging in cross-realm grouping, though; WoW time these days means unplugging from the rush with peaceful questing, meditative gathering, or the occasional murderous dive through AV -- all on my own. Maybe I'll catch up with some old friends on other realms some day; for now, it's Zangarmarsh for me.

Mat McCurley (@gomatgo) WoW and League of Legends, as usual. The newest champion was just released on LoL, and I'm having a lot of fun playing her. I don't think I would pay for cross-realm partying since, to be honest, most of my group content is raiding.

Matt Low (@Matticus) League of Legends for me. Practicing for an upcoming LAN tournament next month. I also picked up Call of Duty: Black Ops when it was on sale from Steam. Been playing that for a while to satisfy my hunger for shooters.

Cross-realm grouping: Yes, I'll most likely pick it up. As guild master, I think it'd be a great asset as I can play with potential applicants and trials first hand to get a gauge of their abilities. Won't be able to do it in a raid setting, but a dungeon is better than nothing.

Tyler Caraway (@murmursofadruid) My father and stepmother are coming into town this weekend! I'm super-excited and all ready to have a blast. They're also bringing along my 5-year-old twin brothers, so that's going to add to the adventure. Will at least be spending Saturday with them and going out for dinner, hoping that I can end up stealing my stepmom for some real fun and ditch my dad with the boys. Possible appearance by my favorite frienemy as well. I will probably not get much use out of the Real ID party feature while it's free, so I doubt I'll ever pay for it.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
