MV Guide: January 31 - February 7, 2011

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively's Livestream channel.

Every week the Massively staff logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of games to take a look at. During Livestream events, you can participate in the live chat to learn about the game, ask questions, and spend some time with Massively staff and readers.

If you missed out some of our Livestream events from last week, check out our on-demand videos to catch up at your leisure. We had a busy week! Karen and her guild did some raiding in EverQuest II, Rubi and the Massively Overpowered guild did some damage in Guild Wars' Factions campaign, Larry played some DCUO, Krystalle took to the skies in Black Prophecy, Beau treated us to some Asheron's Call, and Shawn explored some of the awesome features of Champions Online.

Monday, 1:00 p.m. EST: Shawn -- Earthrise/Allods Online
Join Massively's Editor-in-Chief Shawn Schuster as he takes you through his favorite MMOs. Considering the fact that he can't seem to stick with one game for long, you're bound to see a variety of titles, including betas, new releases, and old favorites. In this episode, Shawn will give the Earthrise beta a shot. If the servers are down at that time, Shawn will dive back into Allods Online to see how much it has changed since last he played it. He'll take a run through a brand-new character and dust off one of his bazillion alts.

Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Ragnarok Online
To continue on the theme of playing older MMOs, Beau will be tackling the world of Ragnarok Online. As one of the larger and older free-to-play games out there, it promises to be an adventure. Hopefully, Beau will finally be able to see what a "poporing" is. Then he can finally become certified to use the :3 emote.

Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Larry Everett -- DC Universe Online
The Massively Overpowered league was not out-swarmed by the HIVE last week, and it caught the attention of Martian Manhunter. This mystical green hero handles all the Justice League alerts. Apparently, Brainiac is attempting to steal the Cadmus technology from Area 51, and Double-M wants the Massively League to defend it. Can the League do it? Not without your help. Three members of Massively Overpowered are committed to the task, but they need one more hero willing to save the day. Is that you? Contact Shaddoe or Massively Man in-game if you're interested.

Thursday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Rubi -- Guild Wars
We are almost out of the Echovald Forest! This week in our Guild Wars Livestream event, Rubi and the Massively Overpowered guild will continue through Factions toward the Jade Sea to take on Kuunavang in Unwaking Waters. Unwaking Waters is either a very short mission or a seemingly endless one depending on how you play, so what happens after that is a mystery!

Saturday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Karen -- EverQuest II
Join Karen as she heads to the Shard of Love, where Mithaniel Marr honors his lost sister, Erollisi. Through the years, it has fallen into disrepair, and we're going in to clean house and pay homage to Erollisi -- oh, and gather up some nice appearance items in the process. If you like eye-candy, make sure to join us as we explore the zone!
