WRUP: A month to E3

We're in the final stretch before E3 2011. This is the time when the rumors start flying fast and furious, some will pan out... others will fizzle out before the sun sets on the day they began.

• Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): It feels like a Civilization 5 weekend. A little global politics helps me relax.

• Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): With Dragon Age 2 slain, I've got to make a hard decision: Metro 2033 or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood? Help me, Joystiq.

• Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): I'll be making up a wicked Brink/Persona 3 Portable combo. There will be shootings, and also fake-brain shootings. (I'm still trying to figure out what's going on in P3P.)

• James Ransom-Wiley: I'll be competing in the 2nd Annual 2011 Derby Day MINT JULEP CUP Beanbag Invitational. It's kind of a big deal.

• JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): I'm playing Portal 2, but, like, everybody's playing Portal 2, so it seems like I'm not being entertaining enough if I say that. So Portal 2 and, um ... let me see if I can find something ... hey, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers. Nobody else is going to be playing that combination of games this weekend.

• Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): Are we allowed to say "butt" in WRUP? Cause that's what those 2-on-1 fights in Mortal Kombat can kiss. My butt. Regardless, I'm gonna keep chugging on.

• Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I've decided to personally annoy everyone on Xbox Live by relentlessly spamming Quan Chi's telestomp in Mortal Kombat.

• Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): I am back playing League of Legends, trying to get ranked in the top 25 in the world. Working through Bioshock 2 as well.

• Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin): I'm AFC (away from consoles) this weekend, so I'll be enjoying the likes of Pulse, Gears and Death Rally on my iPad.

• Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM) Clash of Heroes and Mortal Kombat have proven to be a mighty addictive combination. Also putting some work in on my custom joystick, which inches ever closer to completion.

• Steven Wong: I will be abusing science partners in Portal 2.
