BioWare hires SWTOR fansite owner

Running a successful fansite usually doesn't mean you'll be hired at your favorite gaming company. But given the evidence presented by BioWare, we wonder whether those words of wisdom still hold true. Joining Brandon Miletta, formerly of TOROcast, and Brooks Guthrie, formerly of Mos Eisley Radio, is Ken Hinxman, formerly of TOR Syndicate. Most visitors to the Star Wars: The Old Republic portal site will know Hinxman as Vall. Yesterday, Hinxman announced via his twitter account, "First day at the new job at BioWare Austin was great! Thank you all for the kind words," indicating that he had been hired to work at the game development company.

After speaking to some friends of Hinxman, we discovered that he had originally applied for a community management position, but BioWare liked his web-related work so much that the company decided to place him in web Q&A.

The staff at Massively would like to extend its congratulations to Vall and wish him the best of luck at his new job.
