NintendoWare Weekly: Netflix, Game & Watch Gallery, 3D Pixel Racing

The biggest release on 3DS this week isn't a game at all. It's the Netflix app! Should you decide to watch movies while you're near a Wi-Fi signal but not a TV and a streaming-capable device, now you're all set.

The 3DS also sees a pair of Virtual Console releases, including one that is, itself, a collection of even older games. And WiiWare hosts 3D Pixel Racing, a racer set in a 3D Dot Game Heroes-esque voxel environment.

WiiWare

  • 3D Pixel Racing (Microforum, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points): Race in a world of big, chunky voxels.

3DS eShop

  • Netflix (Nintendo, as many "players" as can see the screen, free): You watch movies and TV shows on it.

  • Game & Watch Gallery (Game Boy) (Nintendo, 1 player, $2.99 Points): Game Boy recreations of Manhole, Fire, Octopus, and Oil Panic.

  • Baseball (Game Boy) (Nintendo, 1 player, $2.99): It's baseball!

DSiWare

  • Extreme Hangman 2 (Gamelion, 1-2 players, $1.99/200 DSi Points): It's already a game about a man dying on the gallows unless you can guess a word. How could it get more extreme than that?

  • AfterZoom (Abylight, 1 player, $4.99/500 DSi Points): Find virtual micro-organisms in real life with the DSi camera, then make them fight!

  • Puzzle Fever (Korner Entertainment, 1-2 players, $4.99/500 DSi Points): Fit pieces together to make shapes.

  • Just SING! 80s Collection (dtp young entertainment, 1 player, $4.99/500 DSi Points): Sing "Like a Virgin," "Take On Me," "Never Gonna Give You Up" and "The Heat is On." Into your DS.
