The Queue: In which Diablo is questioned

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky, senior D1 editor, will be your host today.

The D3 questions getting asked in relation to WoW are quite numerous lately, and it's important to remember one big thing:

Blizzard loves to share technology amongst the games.

Diablo 2 had a lot of precursors to WoW, as did all their other games. Even some WoW elements are in StarCraft 2 (achievements, Battle.net integration). Will some of this tech eventually make it into WoW? Almost assuredly.

But ... not everything is a technology decision, as we'll see in our first question.

I understand this isn't exactly Wow-related, but it concerns Blizzard's real-money auction house: Isn't Blizzard afraid that this might allow players to cut corners, take out the effort required to work for rewards, etc. Also, if Blizzard is willing to implement this in Diablo, do you think it might reach WoW and/or Starcraft?

Given that Blizzard isn't allowing real-money trading on the hardcore mode of D3, I doubt it'll have much of an impact on those who truly care about power and balance. Furthermore, I don't think this will significantly imbalance things -- people are going to cheat and buy their power one way or another. This way, it's just through Blizzard.

Is this going to come to WoW? I highly doubt it. I know too many people at Blizzard who are dead set against something like this ever getting into WoW itself. Diablo is a different beast (as is StarCraft, but I have no knowledge if any RMT is in the works there).

Is it ever ok to kick an underperforming raid member from the raid in a PuG? I was raid leading a firelands PuG (depending on those involved, FL PuG's usually down shannox, beth and the exceptional ones down rhyolith on my server.) I had an unruly enh shaman who would not follow directions. He wouldnt hex on trash when told so, he popped lust on shannox before it was called for, causing a wipe (we didnt have lust for the final push so we wiped sub 30%). So after a couple of wipes on shannox, we decided to try Beth'Tilac. He would then proceed to steal the designated melee's spider string to go up top. Again, the lusted prematurely. After a third wipe on beth, I promptly kicked him. Was I wrong in doing so?

God, no. I'd have kicked him after his insolence on the first boss. People need to come to raiding expecting to follow directions and do as they're told. If they can't perform, then it's a disservice to the other 24 members of the raid (yourself included) to keep him in it.

If you can down a boss with 25 people including a bad player, chances are you can down the same boss with 24 people minus the bad player.

My only note here is that you should give him a few warnings that you're going to remove him. Don't let it be a surprise to you or anyone else. Set the ground rules out beforehand, and go from there -- you and everyone else will be happy that you did.

Once we have completed all of the new Hyjal/Molten Front dailies and gotten the Flameward Hippogryph mount, is there any point to continuing grinding these dailies?

Rep, the bag, and the pet are the only other reasons I can think of to continue doing patch 4.2 dailies.

Edit: Achievements too, forgot those (how could I ever forget those... /yawn).
