WRUP: One size fits all!

Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as: WRUP. Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game, and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

Hello! Fox Van Allen here! Local business owner! And cat enthusiast! Is your cat making too much noise all the time? Is your cat constantly stomping around, driving you crazy? Is your cat clawing at your furnitures?

Think there's no answer? You're so stupid! There is! Kitten Mittens!

Some weeks, you have to spend hours -- nay, days -- coming up with a brilliant way to introduce that week's What aRe yoU Playing. And other weeks, you have a video of a cat in mittens falling off a table. That's the kind of WRUP opening that just ... speaks for itself.

Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) I'm going to keep running my shaman through heroics to finish out my resto gear set, and then move on to the priest, who I've healed some normals with (it's been five years since I last healed on a priest ... kinda fun!). When it's not WoW, it'll be Battlefield 3. Jeep driving FTW.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I'm either building more stuff this weekend or possibly going after large stacks of wood with an axe. Not sure which, yet! And I have a bit of raiding this weekend. Otherwise, nothing too pressing!

Chase Christian (@madsushi) I'm also at a conference in Vegas, so I'll be doing some gaming with real money. I also hope to work on all the side-quests in my Arkham City play-through.

Daniel Desmond (@hazmacewillraid) I will probably be playing Torchlight for my second play-through, though this time with an alchemist and on hardcore. Nothing gets the blood pumping like permanent death! Also, I might dabble in some StarCraft. I think Matt and Chase should meet up and take the Vegas strip for all it's worth!

Daniel Whitcomb (@DanielWhitcomb) I am mostly going to be fighting off the plague, but I have found myself loading up Bastion once again. Seriously, this thing is my GOTY 2011. Also thinking my Dwarf mage may get some Battleground action. I was going to wait until patch 4.3 to level her through the 70s, but I am getting impatient.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) (gplus.to/foxvanallen) I moved my PlayStation 3 into my bedroom and I've been playing an unhealthy amount of Disgaea 4. Before I go to bed, I play a few hours while snuggled under the covers. Raiding? No matter -- just turn to the TV between wipes and get in a few characters' turns. I don't think I'll be able to stop until I grind my characters up to the level 9,999 maximum. I need help.

Joe Perez (@lodurzj) Replacing my dying Razer Naga mouse, which simply took one too many spills and jars while moving and finally is giving up. More LoL play with Shyvanna, 'cause she's a dragon lady who melts faces. More Minecraft with Matt Low and the gang from Conquest and hopefully not burning Matt's house down again. I swear it was an accident!

Lisa Poisso (@LisaPoisso) I've started playing again on my original realm so that I can transmog with my priest's Benediction and so I have a good group of characters on a PVE realm where it's easy to toss down a few tasks without getting sucked into PVP turmoil ... But I have no Horde characters there, so if I want a roster on both sides (and I do -- all my other Hordies are on PVP realms), I have to start Horde-side from scratch. Wow, the pre-expansion economy for low-level items there is nasty -- bags from a vendor were the best deal in town, and no cheap low-level armor is to be had!

Mat McCurley
(@gomatgo)
(gplus.to/gomatgo) League of Legends, WoW, Dead Space 1 and 2.

Matt Low (@matticus) I got hooked onto this thing called Minecraft. My guild has a server and stuff all set up and I haven't been able to get around to it until now. It's definitely a nice way to chillax after a long, grinding night of getting destroyed by digital dragons.

Matthew Rossi (@matthewrossi) I'm digging out my old RIFTS sourcebooks, bought when I was a younger man who -- though having 18 billion character classes, each of which could do ever-increasing billions of damage and had names like "Vampire Demon Juicer" and "Anti-Dragon Golden Boy" -- was the coolest thing ever. Cosmo Knights, who could literally be hit in the face with a nuclear bomb? Yeah, I thought that stuff was awesome. I know now that it was a trifle cumbersome and goofy, but at the same time, I can't hate a game system that got so over-inflated that it need Mega Damage. Why am I bringing up Mega Damage? No reason.

Now if you'll excuse me, my Godling Technomagic Demon Eater needs to find his Runesword and Zeus' Aegis. Oh, I'm also working on a month-long serial fiction at
http://matthewrossi.wordpress.com/.

Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) I'm at conference in Vegas for work, so, craps.

Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel) I'm going to try to pick a character in WoW to be faithful to for a while. You know, actually be monogamous ... to the character, not the game. I'll also be playing [redacted] and Tiny Tower. 106 floors! Can you beat me? (I'm cosmiclaurel on Game Center, just like everywhere else.)

Tyler Caraway (@murmursofadruid) This weekend will moat probably be a League of Legends bases weekend, with a few side bouts of going to hang with friends.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
