The Queue: Get angry! Get mad!

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

That sure was a lot of The Big Bang Theory hate yesterday. I have nothing to add to that conversation, but wow. You guys are passionate about your television.

Passion is a good thing.

Aszra asked:

Is there a way to turn in your old 'tattered' Darkmoon Faire tickets into current darkmoon currency? I have like 60 tickets saved up in my bank from the old version of the faire and it just seems like such a waste if I can't use them.

Sorry, your old tickets are vendor trash.

khatre asked:

What happened to the purified black dragon egg we all saved?
I have to assume that its still out there ... somewhere ... Waiting to give birth to a new Mostly Harmless black dragonflight. Or am i wrong?

It hatched. It matured. It's Wrathion, son of Neltharion. He's the guy rogues work with in their legendary daggers quest chain. He doesn't want to be controlled, and he knows that most major forces in the world want exactly that -- both the remnants of his father's corrupt brood and the rest of the dragonflights. He uses the assassins of Azeroth to ensure his freedom and survival.

Dr. Nothing asked:

So what in the blue, sheep filled, mage-flavoured hell is going in the two 'under construction' tents at the faire? ENQUIRIN' MINDS JUST GOT TA KNOW!

Private dance party. You're not invited.

In all seriousness, there is a lot of unused land on the Darkmoon Island in addition to those (very empty) tents, so I think Blizzard built the entire island with expandability in mind. It wants to be able to add onto it without needing to do significant terrain and graphical work every single patch. It can easily open up one of the tents in the next content patch and put some cool new vendors in there without much effort on the part of the artists and world devs. Just like it could add more quests out in the open forest or populate the cave on the side of the island.

Sean asked:

LFR Question: Has anyone had luck queuing up in LFR at times outside of normal "WoW Prime Time?"

I work nights, which has always excluded me from being part of a Raid team. If LFR is putting groups together in the mornings/afternoons/wee hours of the morning then it would be worth gearing up one of my toons to get into it.

I don't know if this will be true forever, but I haven't had any problems getting raids via the Raid Finder in the middle of the night or wee hours of the morning. Popularity of the feature may decline during content lulls, but right now there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Ganrokh81 asked:

Since Deathwing is finally defeated, did we ever find out why he only destroyed the Park District of Stormwind?

I'm not sure we'll ever find out, but my theory? My theory is Deathwing's appearance in Stormwind was a method of recruitment. At the end of Hour of Twilight, Archbishop Benedictus says, "I looked into the eyes of The Dragon, and despaired ..."

Whether that's literal or figurative, I'm not sure. I don't think it matters.

Deathwing's show of power swayed many of the people of Stormwind to his side in the conflict and most notably swayed Archbishop Benedictus. Deathwing needed servants and thralls to help him conquer Azeroth. Deathwing and the Twilight's Hammer chose Archbishop Benedictus to betray the Alliance and take the Demon Soul from Thrall. Killing everybody in Stormwind would have been conterproductive to Deathwing's plots.

TL;DR: Deathwing destroyed the park to recruit Benedictus. He left everything else intact out of necessity.
