Engadget reviews the PlayStation Vita

The PlayStation Vita may still be months away for the world outside of Japan, but that won't stop Engadget from reviewing Sony's new handheld. Our cohorts put the hardware through its paces and found it to be a great piece of gaming kit with a sharp screen, a smooth interface and well-implemented controls. Like the 3DS, unfortunately, it suffers from very short battery life – about three hours of straight gameplay and up to five for media playback, social networking and the like.

Head over to Engadget for the full (and very detailed) review, and stay tuned for Joystiq's review in the coming days.
