The Queue: I would not hire Tails

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

It's time for an other episode of Dumb Things From the '90s That We All Loved and Have Nothing to do With World of Warcraft! Sonic Sez!

Now on to the Q&A.

Bynes asked:

If I remember correctly, the devs said we'd come to a point while leveling our Pandaren in MoP where we choose our allegiance to either the Horde our Alliance. Does this mean we'll be able to mail things to these characters from our alts before they choose? Meaning, can both my Orc and Human send them mail before they choose a faction?

At BlizzCon 2011, I believe Blizzard stated pandaren will not have access to mail or mailboxes until they've chosen a faction. Your example assumes a brand new pandaren will belong to both factions before they've made their decision. The reality will be that your pandaren belongs to neither faction and probably will have the mail function disabled altogether.

Scuac asked:

Why does WoW Insider insist in calling Arcane Brilliance a "weekly" column

I love to read the archmage articles, and it is always sad to have my anticipation for a new column crushed by the realization that there will be none this week.

Because time, health, and general cosmic activity permitting, it is one. However, you need to be mindful of the fact that for the vast majority of our columnists, WoW Insider is a secondary, part-time gig. In some cases, it's Gig the Third. When life gets hecka busy, something's gotta give, and finding the time to write about video games is pretty low priority.

This is a professional gig, and I do expect our staffers to communicate their missed columns with me. That being said, if one of our columnists ends up in a (theoretical) situation where they're working overtime at their day job, their kids have the flu, and their basement flooded, I'm just going to say, "Dude(tte), it's cool, step away from the keyboard. Chill out and skip the World of Warcraft for a week."

These things happen.

Besides, you know as well as I do that Belt's columns are totally worth the wait.

EyeKyu asked:

Next month I`m going for 2 weeks in europe in vacation. Am I going to be able to log in and play wow from there on my laptop?

Yep! Your connection will likely be laggy because you'd still be connecting to servers based in the United States, but nothing will stop you from logging in.

arkhan asked:

Have you selected a new warlock columnist yet?

Yes. Hopefully you will see her very soon. I'm pretty excited.
