WRUP: Fox and Michele Morrow present: The Fourth Hour

Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as: WRUP. Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game, and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

Many of you know that I recently moved from Boston to Los Angeles. And now that I'm living in the entertainment capital of the world, it's time to kick up the Fox Van Allen experience a notch. After all, writing is cool, but all the really awesome people are making videos. So I hooked up with my friend Michele Morrow (writer! actress! Spirit Hood ambassador!) to create a new show, The Fourth Hour. And if it's cool with all of you, we'd like to premiere it here on WoW Insider. Like, right now.

Why call it The Fourth Hour? It's an homage to the final hour of NBC's Today show, when serious journalism takes a sideline to the alcohol-fueled antics of Kathie Lee and Hoda. An unintentional homage, to be sure, but one filled with WoW, gaming talk, special guests, and pretty people you're evolutionarily predisposed to want to mate with. This week's special guest is a familiar face -- or at least familiar voice -- to all you WoW Insider folks: former writer Mat McCurley.

You should totally subscribe to The Fourth Hour's YouTube channel. Then tell all your friends about it. Like it on Twitterbook. Write your congressman about it too, just in case.

In addition to the pilot episode above, you can check out the outtakes video -- all the good stuff that just didn't fit the 10-minute format -- after the break. You can also peek into the lives of my fellow WoW Insider writers, since this is WRUP. Oh,and you can share with us exactly what you're doing in the World of Warcraft and what other games you're playing, too.

Reminder: Fox and Michele are experts. Please drink responsibly.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) My brother is in the middle of moving in here till he gets his own place, I have my half-brother and his wife coming in on Friday, my sister, her husband, and all four of her children will be here on Saturday -- basically, my house is going to be a den of insanity this weekend, and I will hopefully emerge from the other side unscathed. And dodge fire. Did I mention a good chunk of the state is on fire? A good chunk of the state is on fire. Needless to say, I don't think I'm going to be up to playing much of anything this weekend. Although wait, Elizabeth, Skyrim has DLC stuff? Oh, my. I may have to revisit my poor, lonely Dovahkiin. It's been so long.

Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid, @alaronmonk) Giving in and leveling a 'toon to 90 on the beta realms if addons are enabled by this weekend. I may also pick up Spec Ops: The Line, based on what I've heard of the plot. Other than that, immersing the entire family in large bodies of water for most of the day hours. Dat Texas.

Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) I'm actually not sure what I'll play. Maybe some ME3 multiplayer. Some Mists of Pandaria beta, certainly. I've also been meaning to replay Bastion because I love it so much, so I may do that.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) Why did I heavily mod up my copy of Skyrim when they released DLC the very next day? What is wrong with me? Why didn't I check? Anyway, my character is a long ways away from being ready for the new content, so I'll work on leveling her up, and perhaps finally finish ME3. (I was waiting for the new endings.)

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) On Friday night, I'll be attending a masquerade party looking stylish as hell. On Saturday, I'll be recording another episode of The Fourth Hour with Michele Morrow and another special guest. And on Sunday, Mat McCurley is coming up to visit me so we can get in lots and lots of trouble together. Oh man, California is keeping me busy.

Joe Perez (@lodurzj) More beta time, more League of Legends, and more just cleaning up around the house.

Lisa Poisso (@LisaPoisso) Tightening the screws on the decision of who my Mists main will be and slavering on my guild forums with the gang about the release date for Guild Wars 2. So many plans, so many games, so little time. And of course visiting It came from the Blog on Friday night!

Matt Rossi (@matthewwrossi) Working on my Black Sun story, pimping my book (yes, I am shameless enough to put the link to the Kindle store in here) and considering if I want to put another one up soon. (Yes, I have another book's worth of stuff out there.) Will try and hit the beta as well, depending on how I manage my time ...

Megan O'Neill (@slowpoker) Beta beta beta, dungeons and maybe raids? And cooking things on beta. And maybe some Diablo III. IRL, I must clean my room and stick the other half of my desk somewhere that's not the complete middle of the room. I feel like I'm doing the Legends of the Hidden Temple final Temple Run every time I move in my room.

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) I think I might have to knuckle down and get a character to 90 on the beta. I've been having so much fun PvPing on live, everyone seems to want to do arenas with me, which is just such a lovely change from "No, shush PvP Lady, we have raiding to do!"

Robin Torres (@cosmicgeek) Friday night, I'll be setting things on fire at It came from the Blog's Flamefest 2012. And so will you, right? The rest of the weekend, I'll be comforting The Spawn with cards and board games while she is tortured with the sounds of kids playing in the pool right outside. At night, if I'm not weeping into my knitting, I'll play some Diablo III and Mists beta.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
