One Shots: Signs and portents
One Shots: TSW
We're deep in the throes of The Secret World's pre-launch weekend, and here to celebrate the game's arrival is Massively reader Sharvis, who sent in several potential One Shots of the game, including one of his character puzzling his way through a quest. He writes in,
I found this map of Kingsmouth with a strange symbol on it. It only served to mystify my character Cole. Something sinister is underfoot in Kingsmouth, but what could it be?
The plot thickens after the cut! Well, not really, but we do have a few more user-submitted screenshots to show off!

We've been getting a lot of comments from gamers hungry to play Phantasy Star Online 2, which is currently in open beta -- assuming you speak Japanese. So please forgive Feyhd for this tease-screenshot of his PSO2 beta character, a hunter named Kannika, who's clearly "getting a little more than she bargained for" since "she's running for cover from an impending Rockbear attack!"

Finally, Allods Online player Kessendara thinks it's high time for some Allods love for One Shots, and she's prepared to make that happen with this truly gorgeous image of her Priest. "Somehow I got the camera angle just right so the sunflare lit up her hand," she tells us.

We'd love to see images from the The Secret World's launch week, so lay 'em on us in time for next weekend's edition!

Want to be featured in a future edition of One Shots? Send your favorite MMO screenshots to, and don't forget to include your name, the name of the game, and a description of the scene. Large, colorful, UI-free shots that tell a story and really show off the game make for the best images. Look ma, we brought back One Shots!
