The Queue: Important Mat McCurley super-fan meetup bulletin

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo) will be your host for today.

The Mat McCurley super-fan group meetup for tonight has been cancelled due to size restrictions on the venue. Too many people wanted to come. We'll get a bigger place for the next one, I promise.

yous95 asked:

The MoP talent calculator was recently updated. On the druid page, I notice that there are now 4 druid specs- the originals and "guardian" a separate spec for the bear tank. Did we know about this upcoming change before, and do you think it's smart of Blizzard to give druids 4 specs while all other classes have 3?

Yes, we knew about this at BlizzCon. Personally, I think it's one of the best changes for the druid and will go a long way in fixing a core broken issue with druids that's been present for seven years. Longevity is key, and Blizzard is making good long-term decisions. Plus, it sets the precedent of adding on specializations to classes. Imagine that ...

Mindor asked:

So, I just noticed portals to Org/Stormwind right next to the dark portal on HFP side. Has this been in the game the entire time?

As far as I remember it, originally these portals were just set dressing. At some point during Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard activated them for easier transport.

@ecbremner on Twitter asked:

With the blues saying some talents will be turned into glyphs. Will we be getting a new set of glyph slots in MoP?

I have a feeling the glyph system will get a tiny bit of a makeover, especially in terms of what minor glyphs are for and their function, prior to the expansion's release. In fact, I bet we learn a little something about glyphs in March when the press tour begins. Having some talents become glyphs is great because it's another added decision that actually matters in the way you build your class. You might now get to choose from one of three attractive passive bonuses, etc. I think it could work very well, but we just don't have the information yet.

@xvkarbear on Twitter asked:

What changes would you like to see happen to the guild leveling system? What kind of new perks do you want?

I think 10 more guild levels per expansion is a pretty good number to aim for. Two of those can be a pet and a mount, which leaves eight to fill. Add on to existing perks with a new rank or two, and you really only need a couple of new perks for guilds reaching the upper levels. Unlocking new heirlooms would be a good upper-echelon guild reward that I would also like to see.

@blakepirtle on Twitter asked:

did the aspects give up anything else aside from immortality? Will time "catch up" to them you think?

The Aspects gave up their immortality and aspect powers in order to defeat Deathwing. They can most likely live forever anyway, or practically forever, since they are still dragons at the end of the day. They do retain a considerable amount of power as dragons, just not their Savior of Azeroth, No One Messes With Us powers.
