The Queue: Change your fate

The Queue

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Just saw Brave tonight and enjoyed it a lot. You should definitely see it, like pretty much every other Pixar movie.

MattPruett asked:

I enjoyed reading about Scott's misadventure at the Crossroads in the last Wow Archivist. I was wondering what the plan is for the column (or if there is one.) Will Scott be taking over full time, or will the column rotate to whoever feels like reminiscing?

Alex has handed over the reins for Archivist to Scott, who will no doubt do an excellent job with the column, if his history with Officers' Quarters is any indication. We really like Archivist (and Scott).

akionite asked:

Do we know for sure if the holiday meta-achievements will be shared once Mists comes out? Because I would love to be able to farm the holiday currencies for vanity items on my alts instead of spending them on items for the achievement.

Last we heard, yes, the meta achievements are shared -- and so is their progress. You should be able to work toward whatever goals in the meta you want on any character you want.

alexed asked:

Is there a list of the mounts that are being made account wide? E.g. will my fiery warhorse reins be available on my other characters?

Rather than list the ones that will be account-wide, it's easier to list the ones that won't. Basically, any Gladiator (armored frostwyrm), gold sink (sandstone drake), profession-only (flying carpet), or class-restricted (felsteed) mounts won't be available to every character on your account. Everything else is fair game.

SallyBowls asked:

on the podcast you mentioned that you might be able to cap valor with dailies. And I read that VP is for upgrading not buying gear. Are we far enough along so it is productive to start reading about VP caps & strategies? Or do you anticipate some stuff being changed/finished in the next month or two?

I don't think it's productive yet, but we're definitely getting to the point where it will be soon. Remember that Blizzard's goal was to give you the opportunity to get your points in whatever way you most enjoyed, so we'll see how that pans out in the next month or two.

JeffLaBowski asked:

Just got my Tauren paladin to level 62 and have some outland related questions:

1. is there a Talbuk vendor for the horde? It's Kurenei for alliance out of Telar.

2. There are ethereal and broken class trainers in Shatt. Blizzard making a subtle hint? Usually class trainers are representative of playable races aren't they? Curious.

The talbuk vendor for the Horde is in Garadar. The ethereal and broken class trainers are just fun flavor, much like the ethereals in the capital cities. Don't read too much into their being there. It's not like Shattrath is a big deal anymore.
