MV Guide: August 20 - 26, 2012

Shawn Schuster

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively TV.

Every week, the Massively Stream Team logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises each week, so you'll find a variety of titles to watch. During our streamed events, you can participate in the live chat, ask questions to learn about the game, or simply spend some time with Massively staff and readers. (Of course, streaming is subject to the whims of outside forces like server-side gremlins once in a while.)

Follow along after the jump to see what's on this week's schedule, and let us know if there's a specific game you'd like to see streamed next week!

4:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- Aion
Though still in shock about getting a Besh group last time, MJ heads back to Atreia with renewed hope that groups ARE possible! This time her sights are set on helping someone through the floating fortress of Shugos -- Steel Rake. Ever want to slaughter Shugos and silence that Ack-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack? Now's the time! Join MJ for this cruise to kill.

5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Vendetta Online
This multi-platform space MMO has always been interesting, but Beau is going to try to stream it from his Nexus 7 tablet for Rise and Shiny. If you're into shooters, space and... well, more space, then you might want to check this out!

6:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- The Secret World
Today will be viewers choice! Did you get The Secret World while it was on sale over the weekend? If so, you can join with Da-Bomb for help leveling in Kingsmouth; slicing and dicing on the wharf is always better with friends. If not more Kingsmouth, it's off to Savage Coast and the lighthouse. Which will today's stream feature? You have to join the channel and cast your vote or add a comment below.

7:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- EVE Online
This week in the EVE stream, Mike hits the belts for a little jetcan mining. Beginning EVE players may want to tune in and see how this simple practice can help them earn a little ISK with limited resources, and experienced players should tune in to watch everything go horribly awry. As always, anything can happen when you're floating through space. Remember, Mike's million-ISK bounty is still out there, waiting to be claimed.

8:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- The Kingdom of Loathing
Beau continues his look at The Kingdom of Loathing for Choose My Adventure. What will he find in the world of smarmy stick figures? Well, that depends on your vote and the mood Beau is in when he plays!

10:00 p.m. EDT: Dylan "GGraves" -- MOBA Mondays
Dylan dives into the MOBA realm bringing you Massively titles like Heroes of Newerth, DotA 2, League of Legends, Smite and more! Warm up your voice and yell along with GGraves as we play popular MOBA titles and get ganked by your Massively friends in the chat room.

5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Pirate101
Want an exclusive look at the newest title from Kingsisle, makers of Wizard101? Beau will be jumping into Pirate101 to show off some of its features. Be aware that it is still beta so many things can change over time.

8:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- EverQuest II
It's just about time to move on from the first adventure pack, so this EverQuest Two-sday MJ will make a final push to wrap up The Bloodline Chronicles quest series. Can she unravel all of the mysteries of the D'Morte family so she can move on to the gnolls? Come cheer MJ on, and of course laugh at all of her crazy speed-run antics.

9:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- EverQuest II
Continuation of previous stream.

2:30 p.m. EDT: Blake -- Star Wars: The Old Republic
The Lunchtime Livecast is back to PvE this week! Blake is back on his Consular braving the depths of Coruscant. Lunchtime Livecast #28 is on the way! May the Force be with you.

7:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- Drakensang Online
It's that time again, stream watchers: time for Mike to jump into the crazy free-to-play world of Drakensang Online and toss a few fireballs around. Mike is, as usual, awful at this game, leading to more than a few sticky situations and embarrassing deaths. Tune in and find out what this dungeon crawler has to offer (hint: it's mostly goblins).

9:00 a.m. EDT: David "Psykopig" -- Champions Online
The search continues! Looking high and low for games of all kinds, Psykopig enters CHAMPIONS ONLINE! Join in as he takes us through character creation and the highs and lows of this awesome superhero MMO!

7:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- World of Tanks Two-Hour Blow 'Em Up
Mike takes to World of Tanks in a special two-hour stream dedicated to causing as much carnage as humanly possible. Join a platoon with Mike and help him dish out the damage, or watch as he completely forgets to guard his flank and is blown into a million bits of shrapnel. Whatever your role, there will be plenty to witness as Mike once again storms the WoT battlefield.

8:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- World of Tanks Two-Hour Blow 'Em Up (cont'd)
Continuation of previous stream.

9:00 a.m. EDT: David "Psykopig" Desi -- The Secret World
The adventures of Psykopig's Massively Dragon character continue! See all the slaying go down in a spritely fashion this Saturday as we go on a mission like we have never seen! Time for the Pig's first 2 hour slot? I think so! Its happening, right here on Massively TV! Was that too real for you? Our bad.

10:00 a.m. EDT: David "Psykopig" Desi -- The Secret World (cont'd)
Continuation of previous stream.

12:00 p.m. EDT: Blake - RaiderZ
A double-header of Lunchtime Livecasts is on tap for you this week as Blake streams RaiderZ for the first time! Watch the first levels of this exciting action MMO, a new offering from Perfect World. You'll see Blake's first moments in game and get his honest impressions. It's all in Lunchtime Livecast #29!

8:00 p.m. EDT: Dylan "GGraves" -- Firefall
Come equipped! Firefall is a MMOFPS (More like a third person hybrid...) in closed Beta and it is loads of fun! Lock and Load as GGraves plays a recon battletech with a good mixture of PvE, Questing and PvP coverage. This game has a very attractive art style and skill based PvP that is very fast-paced. Also, Jetpacks. Nothing else needs to be said, so see you there soldier.
