Mists of Pandaria Beta: Brewmoon Festival

Mists of Pandaria Beta Brewmoon Festival

Those pandaren sure know how to party. One of the scenarios available for previewing and testing on the beta realms is the Brewmoon Festival. This party is hosted up in Kun-Lai Summit. Right away, you'll run into Brewmaster Boof. It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to host a large celebration, and the Brewmaster has dispatched his assistants to gather ingredients for the famous Kun-Lai Kicker. Naturally, good help is hard to find, and the assistants have not checked in lately. You'll be asked to track them down and retrieve their precious cargo.

Stage 1: Gather the ingredients

The order in which you track down the assistants for ingredients doesn't matter. Head to the first skull marked on my minimap, and you'll run into Assistant Kieu being chased by a giant vermin. They're just naturally hungry. The big ball of fur was hoping to sneak a snack from the granary silo. But nope! It's up to you and your party to fend her off.

The next skull in the map is over the lake. Yeah, you guessed it -- an elemental named Li Te. A buff will be provided so that you can fight on the water's surface. If you see any strange whirlpools, be careful because it'll launch you up. Watch out for Li Te's shields.

Finally, it's time to head south into the cavern, where you can try to find Assistant Buzaki before being promptly ambushed by Karsar the Bloodletter. The only thing you need to worry about is Bloodletting, but Karsar shouldn't present much of a threat at all.

Stage 2: Hold the line!

The yaungol, smelling the party from far away, will decide to crash and steal some of that delicious food and brew. A small yaungol scouting party will come in from different directions. If you like, you can fend them off alone, or enlist the aid of the pandaren villagers. Depending which ones you speak to, some will drop healing spells, others will tank yaungol, and the rest will help out with assorted attacks.

Once you successfully rout the scouts, there's one last thing you need to do.

Stage 3: Bring it on!

Another wave of yaungol will attempt to invade and torch the village, but this time, they've brought someone bigger. Warbringer Qobi is the final boss of the scenario. When he drops his axes, try to use them against him. If you need an extra boost, the Kun-Lai Kicker that you helped gather ingredients for earlier in the scenario can be used to help stun the rest of the invaders giving you a precious edge.

Whew! A tough day of recovering ingredients and fighting off an attempted invasion sure makes one hungry! With the Warbringer down and out of the way, your character can now truly enjoy the rest of the celebration in peace. Well deserved, I'd say!
