Updates released for Angry Birds HD, GoodReader for iPad, Calendars by Readdle and others

It's been a busy few days in the iOS and Mac App Store with a handful of big-name products receiving updates. The list of notable updates includes the following apps, sorted by platform.

iOS Apps

SlingPlayer for iPad: Added HD picture quality support on WiFi connections and improved SQ picture quality to the Slingbox 350 or Slingbox 500. Users can now set reminders by double-tapping future programs in the program guide.

SlingPlayer for iPhone: Includes a redesigned UI, improved SQ picture quality on the 350 and 500 model, and the ability to project photos from your SlingPlayer onto a TV connected to your Slingbox 500. Users can now set reminders by double-tapping future programs in the program guide.

Calendars by Readdle: Added support for the iPhone 5, fixed a bug that caused the app to crash.

GoodReader for iPad: Added support for the SMB/CIFS protocol.

Snapseed: Now supports iOS 6 and iPhone 5. Removed Flickr support due to an App Store guideline violation.

Angry Birds and Angry Birds HD: 15 new pig-themed levels and 15 new stormy levels with Surf 'n Turf.

Camera +: a handful of bug fixes.

Say Anything: Added support for the iPhone 5 and some bug fixes.

OS X Apps

SketchBook Pro: A handful of bug fixes and minor improvements.

Thunderbird: Added support for box.net and includes a handful of bug and security fixes.

Firefox: Added VoiceOver support on Mac OS X and initial web app support on Windows, Mac and Linux. The v16 was officially pulled after a major security flaw was discovered. A new version is expected in the next few days.

Pixelmator: Improves the healing tool.

Photosweeper: Added Mountain Lion notification support, improved integration with old versions of iPhoto, added the ability to find the same photos even after color adjustments and more.

Tweetdeck: New UI and a handful of bug fixes.

Acorn: Improved magic wand tool, new layer export, new blend modes and a lot more.
