Patch 5.1 PTR: Windsteeds get more color, and new audio files

More news from the Patch 51 PTR

As if one Swift Windsteed wasn't enough, the dataminers have now discovered even more, with the windsteed showing its true colors with three new looks, meaning a total of four windsteeds will be available.

Anne Stickney had previously speculated that the windsteed might be a new store mount, that is to say, one purchaseable via battle.net with real money. It seems the appearance of new colors for this mount might indicate that it is available from another source -- there are very few mounts purchaseable for real money which come in different colors but there's always a first time! The source of this new mount could well be reputation with one of the two new factions coming in patch 5.1: the Dominance Offensive and Operation: Shieldwall.

The multiple colors of the windsteed are below. Which is your favorite? I think I like the gold one.

Patch 51 PTR Achievements, Audio and more Windsteeds

SPOILER ALERT: There are four new audio files and some description of their contents after the break. If you don't want spoilers, you know what not to do. Don't hit the break.

Spoilers below! Don't say we didn't warn you.

Four new audio files have been datamined:

It sounds like Vol'jin is rising up against Garrosh's new ideas for the Horde, and maybe even rebelling against his use of dark magic. He even says "this is what the Horde has come to... killing its own."

Finally, it seems like the Alliance are fighting back, and it doesn't look like certain folk are quite as dead as they may have previously appeared. The Alliance are thwarting Garrosh and winning critical battles, but Jaina's flying off the handle in Dalaran, apparently attacking the Sin'dorei, who Varian had hoped to recruit.

"Horde, it's a shame you were so slow to get here, the divine bell is already ours..." I wonder what this divine bell is? Well, it's in already Darnassus, whatever it is. But it seems like others are after it. A few entertaining grunts and moans in this one, and no additional conversation after them.

As if on cue, this sounds like the explanation of what the aforementioned divine bell is. It was created for the Thunder King, cast from the maker's flesh and shaped by stars fire, and bound by the breath of darkest shadow. When rung, it could shake the world and call to the heavens. Taken to war, it stirs warriors hearts, lending them strength on the field of battle, and struck fear and doubt into the hearts of its enemies...
