Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Why was Bruce Wayne so scared of these things?

rpandagirl asked:

I got my priest some heirloom gear, which I thought meant I wouldn't need to replace her gear till level 80. But here she is, level 34, and I get a shoulder that increases her stats significantly! Am I missing something? If I have the heirloom gear in my bag but not equipped, do I still get the xp bonus?

The general idea is that even if a piece of gear has better stats than the heirloom gear of the same slot, you'll still level faster and more efficiently with the heirloom gear. A stat increase would have to be absolutely enormous to compete with an XP gain bonus-- far more than a single slot could contribute.

And no, you have to wear the heirloom gear to get the bonus. It doesn't work from your bags.

Rob. G asked:

Any new info on Love is in the Air event that starts monday? Like any drops from the chemical people and such?

Yep, we've got a big ol' guide on Definitely Not Valentine's Day right here. The apothecaries drop a panoply of 480 neck pieces, vanity stuff like the gas mask helmet, the Toxic Wasteling pet, and (rarely) the Big Love Rocket mount.

Jeblammy asked:

What's the ilvl requirement for normal raids in 5.2? My GL is worried that we'll have to be farming heroics from 5.0 to get geared to start in normals, but that doesn't sound right to me. I know PTR puts you at 502, but that's not the minimum is it?

Normal raids have no minimum ilvl for entry. That's up to your raid leader. Obviously raids are tuned with a certain average ilvl in mind for raiders, but you can fudge it -- lord knows enough progression raiders have in the past.

MusedMoose asked:

Has Blizzard announced a date for this year's Blizzcon yet? My work has become real strict about requesting vacation time all of a sudden, and I want to reserve my time off well in advance.

There's been no official announcement, but you can be it's either in August or October, based on previous BlizzCons.
