WRUP: Things that are actually written by us edition

IN FIVE MONTHS

I'm not calling anyone a liar, but there's a pretty good way to tell if something is being written by the Massively staff. If an article shows up on the front page, yeah, one of us wrote that. If the article is supposedly a rough draft that got posted to a message board, well, odds are low. Especially if that draft is a barely disguised rant. We have a column for rants, it's called The Soapbox, and those aren't disguised in the slightest. Educational!

This feature sometimes serves as a thinly disguised rant in the intro, but mostly it's just good old-fashioned WRUP. Like mom used to make, if mom used to serve up rundowns of what the Massively staff will be doing over the weekend. Even if your mother just served you normal stuff, though, feel free to check out our plans past the break and let us know what you'll be up to in the comments.

Beau Hindman, F2P and Mobile Columnist

@Beau_Hindman: I'll probably be playing through tons of Defiance and some RuneScape. I want to roll some more in Achaea, but that's already asking a lot of one weekend. I've also got a secret project going on in Mabinogi, so look for that later in the month!

David Desi, Multimedia Contributor

@PsykopigAU: I'm still kicking it The Secret World style as much as possible. There will likely be a hint of RIFT as I gear up for the upcoming livestreams.

Eliot Lefebvre, Columnist Extraordinaire and Senior Contributing Editor

@Eliot_Lefebvre: Will I be preparing for major, life-changing events on Monday? Yes. Will I still find time to play Star Wars: The Old Republic over the weekend? Also yes.

Jef Reahard, Managing Editor and Columnist Extraordinaire

@jefreahard: I'm dabbling in DC Universe Online and SWTOR. Other than that it's single-player games and non-game stuff.

Justin Olivetti, Columnist Extraordinaire and Senior Contributing Editor

@Sypster: Lately I've been really grooving on my lowbie Ranger in Guild Wars 2, so I'd like to give her some attention. My goal with this character is to participate in every dynamic event I come across instead of developing tunnel vision for map completion. Apart from that, my The Secret World character is beckoning me back to Transylvania and I'm pushing up through the 20s in Neverwinter.

Mike Foster, Contributing Editor

@MikedotFoster: Nothing on deck but a whole lot of Dota 2. Who can resist bashing strangers in the face and ruining their bases?

MJ Guthrie, Columnist Extraordinaire and Contributing Editor

@MJ_Guthrie: With 4.0 right around the corner, I need to get down to some serious leveling in Aion -- I am still three levels short of 60. I am also very close to entering Transylvania in The Secret World, so I want to wrap up my current tasks and press on. Of course, I did just get my first ship in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and then again there is more Cobalt Scar to explore in EverQuest II... Wait, what if my clan wants to go for the ice dragon again in Darkfall? Dang it! I shall have to forgo eating and sleeping this weekend to get to it all, but I shall persevere. It is my duty.

Richie Procopio, Multimedia Contributor

@RichieProcopio: This weekend I'll be playing some Guild Wars 2. I'll take out Subdirector Null a few more times in Southsun Cove and get ready for the Queen Karka events next week! I still want to jump back into Tomb Raider too, I never finished it and that is something I'll have to remedy.

Terilynn Shull, Star Trek Online Columnist

@terilynns: I got a whole lot of playing to do! Star Trek Online has had me sewn in while I move forward with my new Reman character and I'm looking forward to getting her to at least level 25 this weekend. I've also been dabbling in Lord of the Rings Online while the Spring Festival continues. My only problem is, I keep wanting flower beds for the house, but keep getting War Steed cosmetics bundles. No, seriously, I've received four on one character. It's breaking my heart that three will end up in the trash.

At the start of every weekend, we catch up with the Massively staff members and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game -- and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!
