Assassin's Creed 4 confirmed for PS4, Xbox One launches

When the PS4 and Xbox One wash up on the shores of retailers, one bit of available booty for both will be Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. At E3, game director Ashraf Ismail told ElderGeek the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the new Creed will be "launch titles" on both.

Ismail also noted the PC version was due "a few weeks" after the current-gen console release date of October 29, although he added that he wasn't sure on that. A slight delay on PC would follow the pattern of Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Assassin's Creed 3, as well as Ubisoft's time-honored tradition.

E3 also saw Sony announce exclusive PS3 and PS4 content for Assassin's Creed 4 that is set around the Aveline character from Vita entry Liberation. Ismail told us the bonus content resumes her story where Liberation left it, all thanks to the magic 'science' of the Animus.
