The Queue: Hey it was Sacco's birthday

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) scoured the internet for the very best video for Michael Sacco. The very best.

Hey everyone, yesterday was Michael Sacco's birthday! So I have taken over the Queue today as a very special birthday present, and definitely not because he had some birthday drinks. A lot of them. I'm sure he'll enjoy this video of a very enthusiastic mustached man in a hippo hat quite a lot!

Liopleurodon asked:

What happened to the new cooking column?

We've actually had the cooking recipes around for quite some time in one form or another. We've even posted a big roundup of all of the assorted recipes we've done over the years, if you're interested! Speaking as someone who's written more than one of these columns, they do take a bit of time to put together, even after you've decided what to make. It's not a regular column, it's more one of those things we do if we feel up to the challenge. That said, I'm sure you haven't seen the last of recipes on the site -- there are several of us that enjoy cooking and sharing recipes.

dougie2471 asked:

q4tq.. since raids like Kara never had a heroic mode.. would u like to see a HEROIC Karazhan raid? they can scale gear now as seen on PTR.. why not scale boss's :)

If they did not change a single thing about the raid other than to scale the difficulty, I'd be okay with it. But honestly, I'd rather they never touch Karazhan. I love Karazhan as it is. To me, it still represents one of the most perfect raid zones in the game. I don't think they should update it, I think they should try to make something that stands out just as much as it did, if not more.

Fraug asked:

Do you think there are any bosses Blizzard wishes they had back? A guy that they wound up killing off who, in retrospect, might've been awesome for a future raid? I suppose it doesn't have to be an existing boss; it could even just be a questgiver or lore character.

Illidan. I bet they wish they'd done more with him. He was featured on the box art and he barely played a role anywhere in the game other than Black Temple -- players that didn't raid didn't really ever get a chance to see him. He made a brief showing during the Netherwing quest chain, but that was about it. I'm pretty sure, given how much attention he was given in the novels and earlier games, that they wish they'd done more with him -- I believe Metzen has even said as much at BlizzCon.

JordanFarkas asked:

an icon for the TimeWalkers tabard was data mined. future faction or tcg reward?

Well, we are going to the Timeless Isle in patch 5.4. And a few Timewalker NPCs were found as well. It stands to reason if there's an island that's all mysterious and time-oriented, the bronze dragonflight would have an interest in it. It's pretty much a perfect place to bring them in, really!

@_Vsmit asked via Twitter:

Since Tauren and Trolls are among the oldest races on Azeroth, why do we not see as much diversity when it comes to Trolls in different climates like we do with the Tauren and Taunka/Yaungol?

We do! Northern trolls are a bit bigger and bulkier than the ones to the south -- the frost trolls are pretty hefty, size-wise. If you look at the trolls by region, you'll notice the differences -- the sand trolls out in Tanaris are pretty visually different compared to the jungle trolls of Stranglethorn or even the forest trolls of Zul'Aman. If you look at the Zandalari Council fight in Throne of Thunder, you'll see a lot more in the way of the visual differences between them.

@McGuinness12691 asked via Twitter:

do you think we'll see med'an in the next xpac?

I hope not. He's all well and good for a comic character, a superhero, but I don't think he really fits in with the rest of the Warcraft universe and I'd hate to see him in game anywhere. Mostly I like to quietly pretend he never existed.
