The Queue: On models character, transmogrification, and comic

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.

Hey Queue,

I have a question for you today.

What comic series should I pick up and read? I'm currently reading the new Batman (New 52), and am enjoying it. But I want some more that's new. I'm getting back into them after not reading them for years and years (besides the occasional one, etc...).

So what should I pick up? Standard ones are okay, although I've read a lot of the big graphic novels, etc... Graphic novels are also ok to list.

Thanks!

Geekboy asked:

Dunno if this has been asked or not, but how is the division between PVP/PVE/RP/etc realms going to work out in the "single realm" future?

We don't know yet. Blizzard has been pretty tight lipped about these things, and I suspect that they're still working out the final details amongst themselves. Those desingers really do take community input very seriously, and it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out they've compiled a lot of it and are using the data to help come to a decision.

When all is said and done, I think that we'll end up seeing similar rules as CRZ has (PvE and PvP are divided).

Dewclawed asked:

What would you think about Legendary weapons being "flex" capable and scaling up to current level? Much like Heirlooms and flex raiding. Do you think Blizz might consider that a feasible trait of Legendary gear?

No.

Domehammer asked:

Any hope transmog weapons might come to ingame store? Would really like a weapon that uses corrupted ashbringer model or just anything that is models they have removed from game like purple swashbuckler shirt chest armor in cataclysm.

I think there's a good chance. I want to see full transmog outfits first though. That'd be awesome. EverQuest 2 has a great transmog system (appear gear), and there's whole outfits to pick from. I rolled a rogue (assassin) over there, and spent some of my EQ2 Store Cash, or whatever it's called, on a full outfit for him, along with weapon transmogs.

You know what?

He looks awesome, a whole helluva lot more heroic than normal characters, and is ready to kick some butt in style. Granted it's EQ2 style, but still, it's fun for me and that's all that counts. I'd like some of that fun to come to WoW, however.

Melissa asked:

If they end redoing the char models in the next xpack do you think they would tackle some of the older mount or battle pet models too?

Highly doubt that they'll mess with the mounts or pets. The character models are something that we're forced to play with, whereas mounts are interchangeable. And while the old mounts might not be as flashy as the new ones, they're still pretty good. I ride around on my tigers and horses quite a bit. And really the Alliance Gryphons are pretty awesome, occupying the best overall mount in the game slot for me.

I'm going to be honest here too... if Blizzard doesn't redo character models in the next expansion, they're going to make a huge mistake. I just can't see this game continuing to be relevant to a large number of people without significant graphic overhaul. And while new character models are not an entire overhaul, they're a very big start and are going to get a lot of press and talk that will essentially be "graphics overhaul" -- and that's a good thing.

But yeah... no new models = bad times.
