The Queue Berserking

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

25 attack power? Not bad. Not bad at all.

Zapwidget asked:

This might have been asked before, but I'll ask anyway. What is your favorite, no-longer-in-game quest line? For my wife and I, it's the Fallen Hero of the Horde that began with the orc ghost at the entrance to the Blasted Lands.

All of the original Redpath quests, particularly Pamela. It was really touching piecing their story together, both helping the deceased moved on and meeting living members of the family scattered across Azeroth.

synfinity13 asked:

I've been watching episodes of Drunk History on YouTube and can't help but think the WoW Insider crew should start making episodes of Drunk Know Your Lore! Have a different Machinima artist make up a new video every week, let Anne and Rossi get a bit too into their pints and behold! Instant comedic gold! Better yet, make it live-action! So, Mr. Ziebart, how about it?

While it would probably be funny, I don't think any of our lore people drink. I know for a fact Rossi doesn't. Anne might, I'm not sure, but I've never witnessed an inebriated Ms. Stickney. I don't drink much, either. I drink, but not to the point of drunk. Not a fan of drunkenness. All in all, the idea is dead in the water. Or the liquor, whatever.

NicoSinatraGrindley asked:

I just read wowwiki on Taran Zhu to verify it was him in the Siege of Orgrimmar Cinematic, He hangs off Gorehowl and is clearly badly injured, do you think he survived ? and if so How? i mean The Vale is a Healing place.. but it's corrupted now meaning there's no help healing him there, i actually like the character so hope he doesn't die the guy was right after all.

Dave Kosak confirmed that Taran Zhu survived being brutalized by Gorehowl. There will be a quest/event to rescue him from Orgrimmar in the upcoming raid. I, for one, do not like him at all and am mildly disappointed that he's still alive. Taran Zhu slapping Garrosh across the face with the shame of his father was pretty satisfying, though.

Gafferdy asked:

Since you're in the Hearthstone beta, what's your favorite deck?

I have a love/hate relationship with the Priest deck. When it works, it works insanely well. When it doesn't work ... well, you're hosed. Initially, I completely hated it. It seemed totally non-viable. Straight out of the box, I still think it's non-viable. You simply cannot play it with the stock deck and your starter cards. To really make it shine, you need to unlock some really essential cards like the Lightspawn and (in my opinion) Mass Dispel. Most other decks, you can build something playable (if not great or competitive in the long-term) with what you start out with. Not Priest. Once you have what you need, though? Incredible. You get to do things like you see in the header image.

You see, the Gurubashi Berserker gains attack strength every time it takes damage. These attack gains stack. If you can keep a Berserker on the field long enough and keep spamming it with the priest's healing abilities, you can hit ludicrous numbers on it. The screenshot above was my highest so far, 25 attack on one minion. For reference, a hero's health pool is only 30. If the Berserker's attack stacked just a bit higher, I could have 1-shot my opponent from full health. That wasn't necessary, but it would've been cool to hit 30.

Mages seem to be the bane of my priest deck, though. I just cannot figure out how to beat them, they have too many great trump cards in their deck. It feels like they have something for every possible situation.
