The Queue A completely uneventful Queue

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Glad there was nothing in yesterday's Queue worth commenting about! *wipes brow*

rjjagoda asked:

I got a Hearthstone beta key today. I haven't played a card game since Magic 16 years ago (and that was Magic in the loosest sense, pretty much just me and my buddy dropping cards like we were playing War).

Question is, is it easy for a non TCG guy like me to pick up? Do you need to have any card game background?

Yes, I know I could just log in and try it out, but I have to go to work for a bit tomorrow, and the rest of the day will be devoted to football.

Hearthstone is one of the simplest TCGs out there. It actually functions as a fantastic tutorial for TCGs in general! Don't worry about not being able to pick it up. You are exactly who Blizzard is trying to grab with this game.

DiavoJinx asked:

I'm more surprised that no one is speculating on the next xpac reveal based on "Stiches" being the SC2 portrait & decal bonus for Blizzcon attendees.
What relevance does a former elite mob from Duskwood (and mentioned in today's WI article on mobs! Coincidence?) have to Blizzcon 2013?
Mukalot is relevant to the Diablo 3 expansion. Known.
The Diablo 3 banner is just a Blizzcon image. Nothing special there.
The Hearthstone bonus card is a mystery. Does that mean it's a random minion card, or yet to be revealed?

Oh, that's easy. Stitches is one of the announced characters for Heroes of the Storm, née Blizzard All-Stars.

Razwick asked:

If you've already got the Hallow's End or even the full world event achievements, do you still bother with holiday events?

I of course still run the instances since I'm missing the majority of the event mounts, but as I spend all my time in Pandaria or SW, I haven't even ventured out to the towns this year.

Is there something that keeps them fresh for you or are they just a source of cool stuff, but only until you have all the cool stuff?

(I got my kitty on a broom, in a witch hat last year so my life is pretty much complete on that front. I named him Mad Max and he's my favourite companion. Seriously, what's better than a cat on a broom?)

I'm a bad person to ask this question, because I never participate in holiday events (I've looted a few candy bowls and accidentally got an Elder Coin or whatever, but that's it). But generally, once you've gotten the rare and vanity stuff, there's not a whole lot of reason to keep doing them. With Hallow's End, you can get some xp for your low-level characters via the candy bowls, which is useful, depending on how close to the level cap you are.

heartffruit asked:

A virtual ticket to Blizzcon isn't in this months budget :( But I remember watching a stream of the opening ceremonies last Blizzcon without one. Is there any information about whether Blizzard will be streaming some Blizzcon content to those of us without virtual tickets?

The opening ceremonies are free to watch online, as well as the eSports tournaments.

KaleilS asked:

I just did a vision quest where you look at the time thing inside SoO, I think it was the third time I have done this ques. King Greymane was with the Alliance faction leaders bit is not involved in the end cinematic... What's going on there?

Good question! The prevailing theory around these parts is that not all of the visions happened in "our" timeline. The one you saw, it looks like Garrosh is dead, doesn't it? Thrall probably smashed his head in with the Doomhammer unimpeded by Varian in that timeline. Wonder if the visions have any relevance to the continuing story.

daniel asked:

Question for the queue: now that 5.4 allows you to queue for multiple LFR wings at once, do you know of an addon that makes the UI for it suck less? Having to go through multiple pages and painstakingly click the button is way, way less nice than the "queue for specific dungeons" interface.

Commenters, care to help this fellow out?
