Looking For Guild: These guilds need you!
Ordinarily, we like to help Massively readers find their next guild in this column, but this week we're doing things a bit differently by reversing the roles. That's right, this week we're allowing guilds to get their info out there for all to see. The response to our call-out was excellent and I'm happy to say that many of you might just be finding the guild of your dreams today.
For the next edition, we'll be going back to normal, but I'd also like you to submit a personal story if you've been helped through this column. I'll include a few testimonials in future columns down the line. But now, on to this week's list of guilds just after the cut!
Here's how it normally works: If you're looking for a guild, simply send an email to shawn@massively.com with the subject line "LFG" and tell me the following:
The name of your game of choice (include server name if applicable)
Your usual play times (day and time of day)
Your main character class
Any alt classes you enjoy
Your preferred playstyle
What you would bring to a guild
Your main character name or contact name in-game (will not be published)
The following week (or weeks), I will post all submissions, minus the last question. If you're a guild leader or officer who is interested in pursuing someone you see in the column, you'll simply email me at the above address with the subject line "LFM - (Game name here)" and I will act as the liaison between the guild and the guild-seeker. That way, no contact info will be made public and connections can proceed in-game (or over email, if you choose) at the discretion of the submitter.
Game: Final Fantasy XIV (Tonberry server)
Guild Name: Mirai
Normal active times: All day but more active during evenings, based around Australian and South East Asian timezone
What we're about: We are an international free company looking to grow, and we're taking both casual and dedicated players. Everyone may join but most of us are concentrated around Southeast Asia and Australia/NZ. We have teams running endgame raids including Binding Coils and we intend to take part in PvP as well as FC housing and crafting in 2.1. We were the first FC on our server to hit level 5 and the second FC founded. The goal now is to provide a friendly environment for casual players as well as raiding opportunities for our hardcore backbone.
What we're looking for: All mature and friendly players may apply, but we do expect a degree of loyalty. If you are going to ditch us the moment drama happens or things start going downhill please stay clear. That said, we enjoy a good mix of hardcore, midcore, and casual players. If you are a casual player, partake in FC events as and when you can. If you are a hardcore player, you aren't expected to carry anyone, but don't look down on more casual players because we're a social guild. Without them, we'd just be a raiding team.

Normal active times: All time zones are covered, however we're mostly active during NA prime time
What we're about: We are currently working on getting people geared to run the Binding Coil of Bahamut. We also have high level crafters for materia melding.
What we're looking for: Anybody is welcome. We're more than willing to help get new players familiar with the game. However, we'd love to have some people with Coil experience as well.
How to apply: Simply apply on our website (http://www.banefc.com) and contact any Apocalypse member you see in game, We have the <Bane> tag. Unfortunately, so do some other FCs on our server so please right-click them and examine company profile to make sure you're contacting the right FC members.

What we're about: Progressing through raid content while retaining a close and friendly atmosphere.
What we're looking for: We are looking for people who are willing to learn and take raiding seriously. We also want people who are able to accept the word of Daemon into their hearts, because she is so high you will never get above her, so low you will never get below her, so wide you will never get around her, and she comes in bold font.

Normal active times: 6:00 p.m. EST to 12:00 a.m. EST
What we're about: The White Lotus <LOTUS> is looking to recruit players interested in being part of a small free company. Our goal is to create a friendly/helpful FC and clear game content together.
What we're looking for: Someone who will respect others and help FC friends when needed.

Guild Name: Questionable Intent <QUEST>
Normal active times: 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. EST, weekends 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. EST
What we're about: We are a group of adults looking to enjoy story content as well as progress through endgame content. Several of our members are experienced World of Warcraft PVP players who love the Final Fantasy world and want to continue their experience. We are a very social, funny bunch and are looking to expand our team. We are Rank 5, we have a Teamspeak server, and we are working on a website.
What we're looking for: Someone who knows his or her class and can follow instructions. Must have a good sense of humor. Any level is welcome as we are constantly leveling alt classes and are more than happy to help.

Game: Guild Wars 2 (Blackgate server)
Guild Name: The Hardcore Caravan
Normal active times: Weeknights: 3:00 a.m. EST to 3:00 p.m. EST, Weekends: All times. Saturday 10:00 p.m. EST are Guild Missions. All have been unlocked. Usually completed ~ 1 to 2 hours.
What we're about: The Hardcore Caravan is all about having a good time; be it dungeon running, fractal clearing or WvW roaming we aim to have fun. There is no 100% forced rep rule. We would rather you rep us because you enjoy the atmosphere and the people rather than being forced to. We currently do not have a WvW presence, but we are always looking to find dedicated WvWers to join our rank so we can get one started! We also have guildies who are interested in getting us a larger WvW footprint so if this interests you please feel free to contact us below! All guild missions have been unlocked and are completed smoothly, as well as there being 24/7 karma and magic find buffs.
What we're looking for: New, Old, Fun, Casual, Hardcore, WvW, etc. You name it, we accept it. We have no restrictions on members. The only thing we ask is that you keep guild chat rated PG-13 as we have some younger members and older ones who don't like to see racist, sexual, or inappropriate content in guild chat. If you can use your brain and you're not a drama queen we have a spot for you. Dungeon Runner, Fractal Frequenters and WvW junkies are all needed. Class doesn't matter because they all have a place. There's always dungeons and fractals running so if you're a lover of the instances, hit us up!

Guild Name: Avarice
Normal active times: Play mostly EST evenings and nights, raid times are Sun to Tues 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST (optional Thurs 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. EST)
What we're about: We are about 40-man raid progression first and foremost but will be running PvP on off days and enjoying everything else the game has to offer, though the focus will always be raiding.
What we're looking for: Most of our guild members are in their 20s, they used to raid hardcore five-plus times a week but now don't have as much time for that but still want to experience all the content and progress steadily through all current content pre-nerf.
