Verizon FiOS app on Xbox One allows for Veri-ception (bwaaaam)

S. Prell, @SamPrell

The Verizon FiOS app is now available for Xbox One, allowing owners of Microsoft's next-gen console who have an Xbox Live Gold account and subscribe to Verizon's FiOS service to surf up to 74 channels using their Xbox One. The app itself is free to download and use.

In a news post on Xbox Wire, Verizon revealed that, according to their FiOS Innovation Index - which surveyed 900 men and women - nearly two-thirds of those surveyed had interest in streaming video from a gaming console. The post also suggests going full Veri-ception by using the FiOS app on Xbox One while feeding a FiOS box into the Xbox One, then using the system's Snap feature to FiOS while you FiOS.
