WRUP: Geopolitical conspiracies
Welcome back to Massively's What Are You Playing, the game where we tell you what we're playing this weekend and you tell us how the ArcheAge IP-blocking fiasco is part of a grand geopolitical conspiracy related to Russian politics in Eurasia and not just, you know, the relatively petty squabbles of international video games conglomerates. @ceruleangrey: This weekend I plan to spend some time sitting in front of the trading post in Guild Wars 2 and whining about how much Twilight Arbor Aetherpath weapons cost. I will probably not do anything proactive such as actually attempting to run TA Aetherpath, but I might choose to express my feelings by flopping on the floor and doing my best dying fish impression. I'll probably also get some Thai takeout because nothing soothes the sting of an Exotic staff skin that costs almost 1,000 freaking gold like spicy phat si io. Every time I bite into a delicious broccoli chunk, I'll imagine that it's a member of the Nightmare Court.
@Beau_Hindman: I'll be playing plenty of Defiance in order to finish off many of the story quests that I never finished. Hearing about the new season has me excited! I also want to experiment with some pseudo-MMOs like TUG and Windborne. On top of that, I have to have a discussion called "What the heck is a voxel?"
@nbrianna: I'm sure I'll be dipping into Guild Wars 2 this weekend, but I'd also like to get back into Diablo III, and Lord of the Rings Online's casual mention of a new class made me miss farming in that game, so maybe... maybe.
@Eliot_Lefebvre: My efforts to get my wife totally into Star Trek have succeeded, so as a result we'll be playing Star Trek Online; I'm enjoying my new Romulan captain as well as dusting off my old main and getting her ships in order. I'll also take care of some more prep work in Final Fantasy XIV before the next major patch goes live.
@Sypster: I've really gotten on a good Guild Wars 2 kick as of late and have considered trying my hand at crafting armor, so no matter what, I'll be in Tyria on my Ranger exploring and looting. I would like to take advantage of the scenario weekend in The Secret World, since 50% extra oreos is very tempting. And I need to finish up The Walking Dead Season Two: Episode Two if I can grab a quiet hour alone in the dark.
