Apple homepage redirecting users to Apple.com/live

As if anyone needed further proof that tomorrow's Apple announcements are going to be huge, Apple's landing page now redirects users to the company's Apple.com/live page which features a countdown timer to tomorrow's event -- which will conveniently be live-streamed from the same location. Clearly, Apple wants as many people to tune in as possible.

As far as I can recall, this is the first time Apple has ever redirected users on its homepage to a separate page to further increase excitement for an impending product announcement. Even in the days leading up to Steve Jobs introducing the iPhone to the world, Apple simply put up a promotional teaser on its website.

As many people have echoed, the buzz and anticipation surrounding tomorrow's event is arguably on par with, if not greater than, the hype that preceded Apple's iPhone unveiling.

Tomorrow's event kicks off at 10 AM Pacific Time so hopefully everyone has enough time to prepare. Again, the event will be live-streamed via Apple's website, but also make sure to pop in over at our liveblog for up-to-date news, commentary, and observations about what promises to be an incredibly exciting day.
