The Queue: Disturbing orc face

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

I think maybe I'm just never going to ask an orc to smile for the camera ever, ever again.

maalin asked:

Q4tQ: I got started late and am struggling to get my ilvl up before MC goes away. Why does MC not even show up in my lfg/lfr list? Others show up as disabled and the tool tip tells me what ilvl I need to queue.

Molten Core won't actually show up on your list of raids until you're at an ilvl of 615.

ScottLeyes asked:

Lore Q: I'm leveling a baby rogue through Outland, and I just suffered through my 22nd tour of Shattrath with Khadgar's Pink Minion (THAT doesn't sound dirty). I took the time to click on Khadgar and "talk" to him after the quest. He says that HE "reached out" to the void and found the Naaru, and lured/brought them to Outland. Implying that they were not around before that. Did I miss something? There was at least ONE Naaru (Kuru?) on the Draenei ship before it crashed into Draenor. Is "old" Khadgar confused? Is the Naaru story different on ALT Draenor? Is Khadgar just bragging to impress a cute Night Elf Rogue?

Khadgar is talking about A'dal and the Sha'tar -- they weren't on Draenor originally. They didn't show up until after the place had been busted up into Outland. The naaru that you see in Shattrath are all part of the Sha'tar -- so is M'uru. Tempest Keep was the vessel that the Sha'tar arrived in, and M'uru was left behind to guard it, subsequently getting himself accidentally-on-purpose captured by Kael'thas and being taken to Azeroth. You won't see Tempest Keep on Draenor, including the Exodar, because Tempest Keep didn't arrive until after the world had been torn apart. That said, the situation was really desperate at the time that Khadgar made that call -- and if he were to make that call again, maybe we'd end up with AU Tempest Keep touching down on Draenor proper. Who knows?

Yinthalas asked:

Q4tQ - Never played a pet battle and have absolutely zero interest in doing so. A hunk of prime Garrison real estate is just sitting there, reserved for a glorified pet shop! Is there even a whisper from Blizzard regarding freeing up that spot for those of us averse to pet battles?

Nope. It's one of four locations -- Mine, Herb Garden, and Fishing Shack are the other three -- that are pre-located. You can either unlock them to make use of them for their intended purposes, or you can just ignore them. But you can't put another building there in its place. Sorry!

opaque19 asked:

If I drop a profession (mining) then want it back later, will I have to re-level it from 1?

Yep. Unfortunately, once you unlearn a profession, you don't retain anything you've learned. Having buildings that can do other professions for you helps a little bit in that aspect, but man -- I don't think I'd ever drop Engineering, because I went out of my way to hunt down every single last recipe in the game, and I don't really want to go through that process again. I kind of wish you could retain what you learned, so even if you drop it, you could pick it up later and just begin where you left off.

Armenius asked:

For follower synergy, does Dark Ranger Velonara count as undead, blood elf, or neither?

She's a Dark Ranger, so she's undead, just like all of Sylvanas' Dark Rangers. She might have a blood elf model, but she's not alive. Dark Rangers are a special case, model-wise.

AdamC asked:

Q4Q Did the elemental lords of Azeroth exist before the old god showed up and made them fight. If so is there any indication as to there interactions with each other prior to the old gods arrival. I ask because the elemental lords of Draenor get along surprisingly well. They act in harmony with each other, and actively take steps to aid each other when should one be threatened. I can't help but wonder Azeroth's elemental lords may of once been similar before the old gods got their tentacles around them.

The Elemental Lords did not exist, but the elements themselves certainly did. The Old Gods were the ones that appointed the Elemental Lords and put them in that position of power and leadership. Before the Old Gods arrived, the elements just did their elemental thing ... whatever that was. Keep in mind that the "elemental lords" you're talking about on Draenor aren't actually appointed lords or anything else -- they're just powerful elementals.

Estrellia asked:

Speaking of MoP scenarios... how do I get back into them at lvl 100? I still have achievements in there that I want to do...

Head back to Pandaria and hit up the Lorewalker's area above Mogu'shan Palace. There are a collection of NPCs in there who will send you to whatever scenario you'd like.
