Looking for Guild: In preparation for Wildstar

Wildstar

So I guess people are pretty excited about WildStar. Once again, all entries for this LFG column consist entirely of players looking for a guild in the upcoming WildStar, and they may just have the right idea.

If you're a guild leader looking to populate your guild with the smartest and possibly best-looking readers of the best MMO blogsite in the universe, you've come to the right place. Follow along after the jump for the complete list of players looking to catch the early guild train in WildStar.

Here's how it works: If you're looking for a guild, simply send an email to shawn@massively.com with the subject line "LFG" and tell me the following:

  • The name of your game of choice (include server name if applicable)

  • Your usual play times (day and time of day)

  • Your main character class

  • Any alt classes you enjoy

  • Your preferred playstyle

  • What you would bring to a guild

  • Your main character name or contact name in-game (will not be published)

The following week (or weeks), I will post all submissions, minus the last question. If you're a guild leader or officer who is interested in pursuing someone you see in the column, you'll simply email me at the above address with the subject line "LFM - (Game name here)," and I will act as the liaison between the guild and the guild-seeker. That way, no contact info will be made public, and connections can proceed in-game (or over email if you choose) at the discretion of the submitter.

Wildstar

Game: WildStar

Usual play times: I usually get Fridays off, otherwise I'm free after midnight EST until the break of dawn.
Main character class: Esper
Any alt classes: Probably make one of each, if only to make crafting easier/cheaper.
Preferred playstyle: I love my crafting. I've played every role in the holy trinity, as well as the hybrids in GW1 and GW2.
What I can bring: I've been playing MMOs since vanilla WoW, but I haven't forgotten that I'm playing a game for fun, not as a neckbeard applying for a fantasy job. I have a pun-heavy sense of humor, but I will not tolerate racial slurs. I work in retail, so I couldn't care less if you're female, furry, Wiccan, LGBTQ, or whatever, as long as you contribute to the guild.

Game: WildStar
Usual play times: I will play nights and weekends. I'm a teacher, so I will have lots of time this summer!
Main character class: Melee DPS. I'm thinking about a Stalker. I played a Rogue in WoW for about six years and loved it.
Any alt classes: Possibly a Warrior. If I find a ranged class I like, I will give it a whirl. I'd like to have an alt for each path.
Preferred playstyle: I prefer to DPS, but who knows... maybe Wildstar will change that a bit.
What I can bring: I'm an adult who is used to working with lots of different people. I am really easygoing and try to have a good sense of humor about everything. When needed, I will be glad to take on a leadership role. I want a guild that's fun but also has some direction. I have a lot of enthusiasm about this game (been following it for two years), and I hope I can find a guild that will maximize the enjoyment!

Game:WildStar (US: TBA)
Usual play times: I work and go to school full time. After the initial grind to level cap I'll likely be playing evenings. 6 p.m. CST to late night.
Main character class: I haven't decided yet. I was main tank for a raiding guild due to necessity, but I prefer to heal and have more experience in it across several different MMOs. I'm still waiting on a beta key to key in on which specific class, but it's safe to say tank or heals.
Any alt classes: Most likely Stalker or Engineer.
Preferred playstyle: I prefer to raid as a healer if possible when I'm invested in a game, but I do enjoy tanking. I have raiding experience in SWTOR, Neverwinter (briefly), WoW, and FFXIV: ARR.
What I can bring: Experience as a guild officer, though I'm not looking to fill that role. Knowledge and a willingness to help, not only the guild as a whole but individual members, with anything I can. I just want to find a good group that is funny, that's on the more mature side (I'm 27), and that realizes that at the end of the day it's just a game that we should all enjoy playing together.

Game: Wildstar (NA server)
Usual play times: I usually play in the evenings since I need to work during the day in order to pay for my Internets, which will then allow me to play WildStar.
Main character class: Really feeling the Medic at the moment.
Any alt classes: I think a great alt would be the Spellslinger because come on, who doesn't want to use dual pistols!?
Preferred playstyle: I honestly can't remember an MMO where I wasn't DPS. I think I would like to switch it up and try healing... hell, maybe even tank. Granted, the classes I listed above aren't a tank.
What I can bring: I definitely feel I can bring a level of commitment. During my WoW days, I was a long-time member of one of the longest running guilds on the Eonar server. Hell, I even went into 10-man dungeons, knowing I wasn't the appropriate level, to just keep mobs "sheeped" (seriously Webster, you need to add that to the dictionary. Everyone knows what sheeped is!). I died so so many times, but I still had fun! I'm also drama free. Or at least that is what I kept telling myself after making people cry for taking my loot. OK, I kid...

Game: WildStar
Usual play times: Weekdays 5 p.m to 2 a.m., weekends anytime.
Main character class: I'll be playing a Warrior. Giant swords FTW!
Any alt classes: Engineer. Giant cannons also FTW!
Preferred playstyle: I love to tank, but I can also DPS.
What I can bring: Long hours of commitment to the guild. Lots of passion towards the guild and game. I'm a fun and very friendly guy to be around, and I never rage. I'm 21 years old, so I'm not a kid. I also have other friends who would be interested. I'm a smart player and good listener and would follow orders from the guild leader. Finally, I use a high-quality gaming computer, high-quality headphones, and a gaming mouse so I can react fast, listen, communicate well, and overall help out my guild the best I can.

Game: WildStar (server TBA)
Usual play times: Most days 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. MST
Main character class: Engineer, Warrior (Tank)
Any alt classes: Medic
Preferred playstyle: Tank, heals
What I can bring: I work as a systems analyst/web developer. I can help with the VoIP costs, and webhosting, as well as maintenance. I have 8+ years MT/OT and healing, a good sense of humor, and a passion for helping others enjoy the gaming experience.
