WRUP: Collectible card job edition

Collect these and make it work, I guess.

My wife has been getting super into collectible card games lately, so I've designed the world's first collectible card job. You perform thankless tasks that you hate for several hours, and then bad things happen if you don't have enough cards to avoid them. So after four hours of shuffling and meticulously cleaning off all your cards and aligning them in a perfect pile... oh, no. You didn't earn enough cards. Now you lose all of your cards and I take your television.

I think it'll be a real winner.

If you want to work another few rounds, you might be able to keep your pets. Or you could just skip on ahead to WRUP, which is the usual assortment of Massively staff members planning for the weekend. As always, let us know what you'll be up to down in the comments below.

Anatoli Ingram, Columnist

@ceruleangrey: I'll be in Guild Wars 2, helping to save what's left of Lion's Arch. I get to exact revenge on Scarlet's troops and steal their stuff. You take our city; we take your stuff. It's pretty good stuff; Scarlet's army is inexplicably fond of cosplaying as baby quaggan if the contents of their supply bags are anything to go by.

Beau Hindman, Columnist

@Beau_Hindman: I know I will probably be playing Therian Saga all weekend long, but I hope to get some time in PlanetSide 2 and Defiance. Therian Saga is brilliant, but I do wonder how long its charm can last and whether the team can add enough shinies to the game to keep power players happy. Here's hoping so.

Bree Royce, Editor-in-Chief

@nbrianna: If I get any gaming in this weekend, I hope it'll be in Guild Wars 2. My guildies are headed back to mourn Lion's Arch, and I'd like to go along!

Eliot Lefebvre, Senior Contributing Editor

@Eliot_Lefebvre: By the time this column is being read (albeit not at the time it's written), I should be done with my third relic in Final Fantasy XIV. I've got leveling to do there, so I'll still be playing as I approach mastery of the Land and Magic. A bit of WildStar beta on top of that along with some offline gaming, and I should be fairly well occupied for the weekend.

Jasmine Hruschak, Contributing Streamer

@irljasmine: While I'm out of town this weekend, my gaming time will be exceptionally limited. I'm pretty sure pulling out my 3DS to play Harvest Moon at someone else's wedding would be frowned upon.

Justin Olivetti, Senior Contributing Editor

@Sypster: Right now in Lord of the Rings Online I'm going through Mirkwood's epic story line, which is actually great since it's one of my favorite zones in the game. I have thought that my sabbatical from Guild Wars 2 might need to end, seeing as how everyone's been talking about how cool the Escape from LA stuff has been. We'll see.

Mike Foster, Contributing Editor

@MikedotFoster: I'm in final countdown mode for my move next week, but I'll no doubt have some time for Dota 2. I also picked up Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on Steam and have been enjoying the early levels; perhaps I'll make some time for chocobos and emotes.

MJ Guthrie, Contributing Editor

@MJ_Guthrie: Thanks to my weekend trip, I am woefully behind on my kill Flappy 50 times achievement in The Secret World, so I will be there at lest every three hours. In between raids I hope to make some progress on my maze and abode in EverQuest Next Landmark... if I can stop mining and oogling others' structures long enough! I will also be living out the Choose My Adventure vote in EverQuest and experiencing a non-combat side of the game.

Patrick Mackey, Columnist

@mackeypb: I'm playing a bit of League of Legends' promo Hexakill mode, but it's mostly just for funsies, and I am still doing my regular slightly more serious play. It mostly consists of jungle Shyvana with some various other characters mixed in. I might learn jungle Wukong soon; I hear he's ridiculously good, and I already have him unlocked.

Richie Procopio, Contributing Editor

@RichieProcopio: While Lion's Arch being under attack in Guild Wars 2 sounds negative overall, the silver lining is that it's actually pretty lucrative to farm. So I expect to spend some time running around the flaming wreckage even though I've completed the associated achievements already. Sprinkle in a dash of Hearthstone, WildStar, and Minecraft and I think we've got ourselves a fun weekend!

Shawn Schuster, Senior Editor

@Epykbeard: I'm all about Banished this week. It's the city-building game that I've always wanted, and I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. I may also jump back into Wurm Online to check out the recent changes.

Terilynn Shull, Columnist

@terilynns: As I'm finally back in the swing of things, I'll be taking my new Dyson Science Destroyers out for a spin in Star Trek Online. I hope to get some time into LotRO as well as I miss my kinmates a lot.
