Ex-Wipeout devs bringing Table Top Racing from mobile to Vita
Playrise Digital, a studio housing talent from the Wipeout series, is bringing Table Top Racing to Vita this spring. The combat racer has accumulated 3.7 million downloads between the App Store and the Google Play store, and its detour to Vita will include control tweaks to take advantage of the handheld's buttons and rear touch pad.
Other than four championships mentioned in the mobile store listings, the Vita port will contain the same content as the App Store and Google Play versions, which includes 17 upgradable cars, eight tracks, nine powerups and six game modes; Hot-Lap, Speed-Trial, Combat, Pure Race, Pursuit and Eliminator. There's also four-player online multiplayer, in case you're eager to build up some fresh rivalries in a kart racer.
Table Top Racing's pricing details are to-be-announced, so it's currently unclear whether the Vita port will drop the mobile version's implementation of microtransactions for an in-game currency.
