From what I've seen, there are two types of iPad owners in the world: those like me who can get away with minimal protection on their iPads and get the occasional scratch or ding, and those who use their iPads in dirty, rough or damp environments. For the latter folks, there are many excellent protective cases, one of which is Urban Armor Gear's Scout iPad Air Folio (US$49.95).

Conclusion
While the Urban Armor Gear Scout doesn't provide screen scratch protection or true water-resistant, dustproof or waterproof qualities, it's a workhorse combo protective case and stand that is reasonably priced and offers rugged good looks. The surface is easy to grip and won't slide out of your hand, which is half of the battle. The Scout is also a good value for the money.
