Xbox One launching with 29 games in Japan, new titles announced

Microsoft's Xbox One console will hit Japan this September with a selection of 29 games at launch, and a lineup of new and previously unannounced games are slated for release in the months afterward.

The Xbox One's Japanese launch lineup, reported by Siliconera, includes a number of North American launch-window releases like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Dead Rising 3, and Crimson Dragon, along with more recent games like Strider, Titanfall, and Murdered: Soul Suspect.

Konami will support the hardware launch with Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, and Tecmo Koei will offer a port of Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. CyberStep's free-to-play MMORPG Onigiri, announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in North America, will also be available for the Japanese Xbox One at launch.

Microsoft additionally revealed (via Gematsu) that a handful of region-exclusive releases are on their way to the Xbox One in Japan in the coming months. Announced titles include Hamster's simulation game Azito, Qute's Natsuki Chronicle, Triangle Service's shoot-'em-up compilation Shooting Love Trilogy, and a new entry in Moss' long-running Raiden series.
