The Queue: I'm not paying you for this

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

I know Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas is popular and everything but I'm pretty sure I don't pay my garrison dudes to sit around playing card games all day. I mean, come on. At the very least let me sit down and play a round or two, guys.

sylvannia1 asked:

Q4tq, do you feel that it was a mistake for most of the WoW devs to be on Twitter? There seems to be a bit too much analysing on everything that's said, and the short character limit means they often need to clarify what was said etc. I get its quick way to communicate with the player base, but I feel sharing news etc is bad on Twitter and should be on the official forums.

Gosh no. I like the fact that the devs are on Twitter. Having the ability to interact with the public directly is cool. I don't think that the fact that they are saying something on Twitter has anything to do with the heavy analysis -- I think anything they say is going to be heavily analyzed at this point, regardless of the medium in which it is presented. I do think, however, that they might want to balance the Twitter-talk with forum-talk and blog posts in regards to news and updates, so that those mediums don't fall by the wayside. Twitter may be incredibly easy to use, but not everyone uses it.

orrine asked:

Q4tQ: Does Alliance post-SoO superpowerness has any impact or mentioned in Draenor quests?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Garrosh is definitely mentioned as someone we should be hunting down and taking care of, yes. But the focus of Draenor's story isn't that whole Alliance vs. Horde conflict we saw in Mists. Varian and Vol'jin aren't even in Draenor at any point as it stands right now in beta -- it's just you and your motley army. Your motley army is pretty awesome at taking care of business. That feeling that the Horde is a perpetual threat isn't there at all, though -- to be honest, so far I've barely noticed that they exist beyond seeing their quest areas every now and again, and seeing Thrall, Durotan and Draka every once in a very, very great while.

TheMegaSage asked:

Q4tQ: Is there a lore reason why PCs are the only people that can be resurrected in Azeroth? Is anybody ever rezzed in a WoW book? If not, and if one were writing a fanfic story, is it fair to say that resurrection does not actually exist in the Warcraft universe? Should we assume that in game fights that end with a PC character dying never really happened, or that the character just had a flesh wound and quickly recovered after being stepped on by the Sha of Anger?

No, there isn't. Varian was "rezzed" by Anduin in his leader short story, Blood of our Fathers, but that's the only instance I can think of in which a resurrection spell was used in any of the Warcraft fiction -- although I guess you could consider Sylvanas' pact with the valkyr in Edge of Night as a resurrection of sorts as well. So it exists, in Warcraft lore, but it's one of those things that doesn't happen often, and isn't really addressed. It's a game mechanic, rather than a lore mechanic.

MichaelEKirby asked:

Q4TQ ; Night elf eyebrows, how do they fare in WoD? As a non-beta invitee, I am unable to see if they poke through helmets. With Blood Elves (and their associated eyebrows) pushed back, their fate remains a mystery.

Well, after making a level 100 night elf I realized that the default level 100 leather helm had a space for eyebrows already included, so I had to go hunt down a hatter. I did manage to find a fairly fashionable hat, and yes, the eyebrows still poke through the hat -- I took a screenshot for you below.

It's an amazing hat.

CaptainCakewalk asked:

Q4tQ: If Blizzard don't go so overboard with dailies in Warlords where are we going to get reputation from instead? Are we going to get more reputation per time, reputation from our Garrisons in some shape of form or even the Cata method of reputation tabards back? I really liked the last method by the way!

That's an amazing question. It's also a question that I don't have an answer for just yet. As far as I know, reputation tabards will not be making a return. But we aren't getting endless daily quests either, so I assume they are working on a more organic way of gaining reputation with factions -- it's just not something we've seen in the beta so far.

Chrth asked:

Q4TQ: So who's all seeing Guardians of the Galaxy tonight or this weekend?

I already did and it was totally awesome.

Ylinae asked:

Q4tQ: Currently, we get new glyph slots every 25 levels. If Blizzard follows this trend, we should be getting a fourth set of glyph slots at level 100. Is there currently any indication in the Beta that this will actually happen?

Nope, there is no new glyph slot. New glyphs have been added here and there, but you still have the same number of spaces to choose from for placement purposes.
