Sierra returns... like, legitimately?

Activision has something planned for the long dormant Sierra brand at Gamescom 2014, which will take place next week in Cologne, Germany. Sierra has spent years as something we speak fondly of, but almost entirely in the context of GoG sales.

For gamers of a certain age, Sierra holds hands with LucasArts as the peak of the point-and-click adventure genre. The publisher had a breadth of beloved series like King's Quest, Gabriel Knight, Space Quest, Police Quest and Softporn Adventure... ok, so maybe that last one isn't beloved.

The teaser site is live now with a fresh new Sierra logo. The Sierra brand had been passed around for a couple of decades, landing with Vivendi before Activision packed it in the car and took it with them during last year's $8 billion divorce.
