Apple sends out official invitations for Sept. 9 event
It's official -- Apple will hold a special event at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, CA at 10 AM PT on September 9. This message comes courtesy of The Beard (AKA Jim Dalrymple), the proprietor of Loop Insight.
As usual, TUAW will be liveblogging the event and providing instant news of whatever announcements happen to be made by Tim Cook and company. We'll provide details of the liveblog once the date gets a bit closer.
It's widely expected that Apple will, as in past years, announce new iPhones at the special event. What is not known is whether or not an Apple wearable device (AKA "iWatch") will also be announced.
