The Queue: Tongues, Warlords questing, and more

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

For the record, I said nothing about parmesan cheese on Monday. If you were wondering, that is. Because Adam. Also, please forgive me: today's Queue is a bit rapid-fire on the questions.

When fighting the celestials on the Timeless Isle, they sometimes yell something in demonic (or maybe it's just Chi-Ji that does it). What are they saying? How does this fit into the MoP story / lore? Are the Celestials on the Timeless Isle corrupted in some way?



That's just a warlock's Curse of Tongues. When Curse of Tongues is applied to someone/something, all of their dialogue is translated into demonic. Chi-Ji and the other celestials have no demonic craziness going on ... that we know about.

What is the level requirement to start questing in Draenor? Is it similar to BC and Wrath where you could go at 58 & 68 respectively? Or is it like Cataclysm and Pandaria where you had to be 80 & 85?

You need to be level 90.

Does the Ahead of the Curve achievement (and mount) go away from 6.0 hits or when WoD launches?

Do we have to do the Tanaan intro, or can we go directly to Shadowmoon or Frostfire and all it's garrisonly goodness?

You must go through Tanaan. Beta players have gotten really tired of it, so it being mandatory for all characters is maybe not ideal. But it's also possible we've gotten tired of it because beta testers have probably done it a dozen times each in a very short timespan whether it be due to character wipes or simply rolling new characters to test different content. It might not be so bad when it's live.

So... did Rell Nightwind buy the farm?

While Mishka comments on the fact that Rell's wounds are fatal, Dave Kosak mentioned on Twitter way back in March that Rell survived. Note: The quote is "I believe Rell DID survive [...]" so there's a chance he didn't and there's some misremembering/undecided in there.
