The Queue: Mom's not home

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

The above film was a little too short for a Moviewatch, but just right for a Queue header. I could totally see a couple of goblins doing this, too. What's the Azeroth equivalent of Vine? Do we have one? Should we have one?

hordak asked:

is there a way for alts (or toons in general) to fly at 85 in Pandaria? I thought I saw something about a tome on the BMAH, but it wasn't specific and my google searches have come up short.

There is a book called Grimoire of the Four Winds that is Bind-on-Account so you can send it to your alts. However, the book is only available in the Black Market Auction House in Nagrand, and the starting price is 1k. Leveling is pretty speedy these days, so unless you're dying to fly prior to level 90, honestly I'd say just use your ground mount.

Digsu asked:

While I kind of understand Blizzard's "it's an Alliance weapon!" stance on transmogging Taylor's sword, there's two things I don't quite understand: a) why not let Alliance use it for transmog, either? and b) Items that are clearly one faction or other (Garrosh heirlooms, Maximillian's Shield, the Imperial Plate set etc.) have been in the game for a while now with no restrictions on transmoggability, isn't it kinda late for a change of policy now?

Let me tell you a story about an item I got from a quest in my inn. That item is called Moroes' Famous Polish. It might not look like much from the tooltip, but when you use it, your character's clothes disappear, leaving them naked -- aside from their belt. The belt is always there, for some reason. The buff lasts for ten minutes, and the item has a ten minute cooldown. For those of you adding this up at home, yes, this means that you can pretty much perpetually run around Azeroth stark naked if you want to, every time you're logged in. Want to have a nude Highmaul raid party? Get a level two inn, complete the quest, and go nuts.

If we can do that, I really don't see why we have restrictions on transmog at all. I just don't get it.

MikeLinton asked:

Have they said whether or not our garrisons will be getting the Holiday decoration treatment? There is something about the Winter veil decorations that really raises my spirits this time of year, and I'm hoping our garrisons get included on this.

You know, they haven't said anything about that one way or another. And while on the one hand I'd understand if they didn't -- we're stuck in the harsh wilderness of Draenor, after all -- on the other, I think it'd be kind of nice to see that our characters, despite all the fighting and struggle for survival, will still hunker down and celebrate the holiday. Like a reminder of home, even if they can't be there. Can we at least get a tree? A tree would be cool.

...and Khadgar dressed as Greatfather Winter. Yeah. Yeah that'd be awesome.

Chrth asked:

Q4TQ: Is there any point to redoing the Stables capture quests on an alt? In other words, will I be able to buy Stables level 2 without doing them?

You don't have to do the quests to get level 2 of the Stables. You have to do the quests to unlock level 3, but that unlock is account-wide -- meaning you'll automatically be able to buy those plans on your alt once you reach level 100 and upgrade your garrison to level 3. So nope, you don't need to do them on your alt, unless you want whatever gold the quests reward!

Captain Cakewalk asked:

Q4tQ: A rather odd question but I have also sent this to Blizzard as well as an idea, would you like to see any of the current NPC's as a plush toy? Personally, and I speak for a fair few family members as well here, I want a Pepe! And yes I would definitely but a hat version because birds and cute.

I would love to see a plush Pepe! I would buy that thing immediately. I'd also love to see a plush version of the latest Battle Pet, Argi. Heck, there's a bunch of Battle Pets I'd love -- a real-life Elekk Plushie? Sign me up.

MermelMadness asked:

Do follower missions have an expiration time? I logged in this morning and have a few 615 missions and 2 new 630 missions. Do I have a limited time to do these missions before they disappear, or will they just stay in my mission log until I attempt them?

They will eventually drop out -- anywhere from 2-3 days after they arrive. The Master Plan addon lets you know how many hours a mission has been sitting there waiting to be completed out of how long, typically, that mission sticks around -- but it's not a countdown timer or anything. There's no definitive answer for that question just yet, so the best you can do is estimate. Sorry!

tomfromhr asked:

Is there a moment where Thrall says to Durotan "So, btw, I'm your son from another timeline in the future." I feel like that should've been a big moment for both of them, and Draka, but I can't say I saw it. Did I miss it, or does Thrall just kinda say "we're visitors from another world" and leave it at that?

It hasn't been mentioned at all. The closest we've seen to that is that Aggra told Durotan that Thrall thought of him like a father, but that was it. No big "Dude, I am your son" moments just yet!

tkc882 asked:

Q4tQ: since being able to pick the back ground music for our garrisons is in the works, what music are you going to pick, assuming you can pick anything in the game?

I'll wait until I invite a lot of people to my garrison. And then I'll throw the Pandaria inn kazoo track on, just to hear the screams.
