Sometimes it may feel like there's an endless amount of stuff to read on the internet. Medium today announced that it is expanding its bookmarking feature to the rest of the web with the launch of 'Save to Medium'. Based on the same premise as apps like Instapaper and Pocket, the new tool allows readers to save articles from any device on a single interface to read later.

You can download "Save to Medium" as a Chrome browser extension, with plug-ins for additional browsers coming soon. iOS and Android users should make sure they have the Medium app installed and then, depending on their device, follow steps to enable it for the first time. Readers can then find the saved links in their reading list or bookmarks.

Naturally, Medium articles prove to be the smoothest reading experience with the "Save to Medium" tool. Outside articles open in a third-party browser window. The feature also honors paywalls, so those hoping for free content shouldn't get their hopes up.

Medium plans on improving the feature and will be taking user feedback. If you're already a heavy user of Medium, this free bookmarking tool will no doubt make your life easier.
