Engadget Review

The iPhone 6 Plus is difficult to use one-handed, not to mention more uncomfortable than similar-sized phones. In exchange, though, you get more of an iPad-like user experience on a much smaller device. It also has better battery life than the smaller iPhone 6, as well as a better camera. Keep that in mind as you're deciding between the two devices.

After owning Android phones for the last five years, I decided to make the switch and try out an iPhone. I wanted to go a little bigger than my Moto X, so I chose the iPhone 6 Plus. Wow is this thing big. Using it one handed is pretty much impossible. With that said, watching videos on it is fantastic, the battery life is way above average, the image stabilization will improve those low light pictures(which is what most people deal with when taking pictures indoors), and the overall iOS experience is slightly better than Android. Why Apple even sells a 16GB iPhone, I have no idea. The smallest size should be 32GB, period.

All in all, I love the phone. The large screen is what I wanted. However, despite advertising it as "bigger than bigger", the 6 plus truthfully does not add much of anything to the iPhone 6 (which is also bigger than earlier models and would be the largest screen size jump anyway). Here are the pros and cons : PROS : -----Screen is absolutely stunning. Photos/videos are perfect -----Camera is much improved over most iPhone models, modest improvement over the 5s -----volume is much louder in many ways, such as on Netflix or playing music CONS : -----Apple should have modeled things around and taken advantage of the huge screen, rather than just expanding things and making them bigger. Example.....web browsing in landscape on safari still feels crammed and texting in landscape is virtually impossible (why not a split keyboard?) -----Battery life does not seem like anything more than a small hop past older models (just while writing this review, my battery % has gone from 85 to 80)
