Don't quote us on this, but we've got a feeling that remotes will be more than just remotes by the time 2012 rolls around. HDTV companies have been slyly adding motion support to their remotes here at CES, and with PrimeSense's technology going over so well in the Kinect, there's an obvious next-step when looking at TV control. Movea -- the company responsible for the Gyration Air Mouse and Air Mouse iOS app -- has just teamed up with Sunrex here at CES, with the newly formed relationship expecting to yield new kit based on the former's MotionIC platform and SmartMotion technology. We're told to expect the first products to be available in Q1 of this year, with the SmartMotion Air Mini Keyboard remote and SmartMotion Air Mouse being named in particular. The former includes a full four-row QWERTY keyboard and relies on 2.4GHz wireless technology, but no images, pricing and availability details are available just yet. %Gallery-113688%

Cideko managed to get our attention with its wireless, motion-sensing Air Keyboard last year, but it's been a bit hard to come by for anyone that's not actively seeking it out. MSI now looks set to bring it to an even wider audience, however, as it's now announced it's own rebadged version of the keyboard. No changes apart from a few stylistic ones from the looks of it, with the keyboard still promising a range of 50 meters, 50 hours of use from the battery, and wireless connectivity from the included USB RF dongle. Still no official word on a release over here, unfortunately, but the keyboard should be available in Germany next month for €79 (or just over $100).

Looking for something a little more in your HTPC keyboard than just a multitouch trackpad? Then how about a built-in 3D mouse that'll have you waving the keyboard around at some potential peril to your couch-mates? That's just one feature of Cideko's new Air Keyboard, which also packs a pair of gamepad-style shoulder buttons in place of more standard mouse buttons, all the usual; dedicated media control buttons, and a promised range of 50 meters -- not to mention a purported battery life of 50 hours. Still no word on a price or release date just yet, unfortunately but it looks like a fully-functional version was on display at Computex earlier this month, so we're guessing that shouldn't be too far off now.[Via technabob]
