try{document.getElementById("aol-cms-player-1").style.display="none";}catch(e){}Today on In Case You Missed It: General Motors is building a RoboGlove (with help from tech company BioServo), to be used in auto manufacturing plants, which is modeled on a version NASA used aboard the International Space Station. The Spector is a gadget to sample fonts and colors and use them within design software, immediately, though right now it's only a prototype. We are really into this Japanese instrument called the Otamatone. You can read about the wine gadget that can ferment grape juice faster than anything else that exists, here. As always, please share any interesting tech or science videos you find by using the #ICYMI hashtag on Twitter for @mskerryd.

That didn't take long -- yesterday, I predicted we'd see more app sales pop up for Father's Day, and here we are. Firemint has put its titles on sale for the weekend -- Real Racing 2 is down to $4.99 on the iPhone and $6.99 on the iPad, and the first game in the series is just 99 cents on the iPhone. Don't forget that the iPad version will also stream out video to a TV with the right attachments, so if you pick it up, be sure to try that out. As we tweeted yesterday (you are following us on Twitter, right?), Backflip's great Army of Darkness Defense is free over the weekend. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is just 99 cents on the iPad, and still 99 cents on the iPhone. iPad photo editor PhotoPal got an update -- it's on sale for just 99 cents as well. And finally, excellent iOS and Mac music software Capo just won an Apple Design Award at WWDC the other week, and to celebrate, it's on sale pricing as well this weekend. Namco Bandai has a lot of their games on sale this weekend also, Stay tuned -- I'm sure we'll see even more apps drop in price before the weekend is over.

  • Gimme some sugar, baby: Army of Darkness sounds on the iPhone

Long before I was an Apple nerd, I was a horror nerd. More specifically, I was an Evil Dead/Sam Raimi/Bruce Campbell freak, and even maintained a website devoted to their 1993 masterpiece. I'm both surprised and excited to see my two obsessions collide in the form of an iPhone app devoted to Army of Darkness [iTunes link], the third of the Evil Dead series. Sure, some people use their iPhones to be more productive and create spreadsheets, but sometimes you just need a simple app that screams "shop smart, shop S-Mart!" or "see this? This is my BOOMSTICK!" The app is a simple soundboard app, consisting of 16 audio clips from the film that can be played at the touch of a button. There's also a "slideshow" mode where you can hear all the clips in a row accompanied by an image slideshow. It is definitely not the most full-featured iPhone app, but for the horror fans out there it will make a great addition to your iPhone dock. The app is free and, as far as I'm concerned, essential to every iPhone. If you like it, be sure to check out the other MGM soundboard apps [iTunes link] with audio clips from Robocop, Silence of the Lambs, Fargo and Rocky (all free except for Rocky, which is $0.99). • Universal pushes back several HD DVD titles

Universal has shuffled back the planned release dates for three of their upcoming HD DVD movies for unknown reasons. Backdraft, previously scheduled for September 12, is now slated for  a week later on September 19,  while Army of Darkness & Fast Times at Ridgemont High also slide a week from October 3 to October 10. They've also apparently given up on the Dual-format nomenclature, following Warner in calling them Combo versions. A name change is nice we guess, but we'd really like to see a price drop that brought them in line with other HD DVD releases, paying extra for future proofing is getting really tired.

For those of you waiting for the killer high-def movie to pick one side or the other - it is here. Army of Darkness. The classic Sam Raimi film staring Bruce Campbell is set to come out on October 3. That same day Universal is also going to release Fast Times at Ridgemont High on HD DVD too. There isn't any news if these discs are going to include anything special on high-def version nor is there a price out yet. Oh boy...Army of Darkness.
