    Hey Nintendo, where's 'Metroid Prime 4'?

    If you've been patiently waiting since last year's E3 conference for the reveal of the new Metroid Prime 4 game, we're sorry. The hotly anticipated next iteration of Samus Aran was nowhere to be seen during Nintendo Direct, the venerable gaming company's main announcement video that broadcast live this morning.

    Looking for a little inspiration for your Halloween costume? Then you might not want to read any further, as you'll likely only find yourself struggling to match the Samus Aran costume that 11-year old Joseph DeRose and his father are building. That costume apparently only consists of an arm cannon at the moment, but it's certainly an impressive arm cannon -- it packs an array of LED lights with various settings (controlled by an Arduino, naturally), not to mention an assortment of sound effects from the Metroid games.     The culture of gaming (and especially comics) is chock full of hypothetical battles, often ending in heated geek debate. And this browser game is no different. But, seeing as how we're celebrating something here this week, we felt compelled to share this game with you.The controls aren't the best and you actually control Mega Man the entire time, but it's still got enemies and areas from the original Metroid title.

We haven't either, yet a creative artist decided to perform the genetic splice to make Mario and Samus one. Jim Welch put together a video showing his creation take form from start to finish; we have to say it's actually quite good. Give the video a watch and see Mario Aran and Metgoomba take form.
