Apart from some announcements and trailers, we haven't seen much of Sine Mora or Black Knight Sword, two upcoming downloadable titles from Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture. Until now, that is, thanks to a demonstration we received at TGS. In the video above, you will find over four minutes of gameplay footage, as demonstrated by Digital Reality creative director Theodore Reiker. After the break, find a generous portion of Black Knight Sword footage and a new trailer. Keep an eye out for our hands-on impressions of both titles soon. Update: The video embed for Sine Mora has been fixed.

It's been about a year since we last heard anything about Sine Mora, the shmup from Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality -- and what we heard then was that it existed. Now, as the next GamesCom approaches, we have our first look at the "diesel-punk" shooter in a new trailer. Sine Mora takes place in a world of retro-futuristic submersible biplane things, mecha steamships, giant octo-bots, and overwrought voiceover. We'll get the opportunity to inhabit this world (and shoot everything in it, of course) via XBLA and PSN "this winter," the trailer reveals.

To celebrate its collaboration with Digital Reality on Sine Mora, Grasshopper Manufacture printed up some shirts. To celebrate the fact that Grasshopper's handling the sound for the new downloadable shooter, the developer is giving those shirts away in exchange for shooter sounds ... made with your voice.

Suda 51 just announced Sine Mora for PSN and Xbox Live Arcade this evening at Gamescom. The horizontal space shmup is being co-developed through a new partnership between Suda's Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality. Grasshopper will provide art direction, music and sound. Digital Reality, perhaps best known as the developer of the Imperium Galactica games, will be publishing the title. The partnership between the two companies will also include "a range of [other] titles," though no information about further releases was forthcoming. Sine Mora is scheduled for a worldwide Q3 2011 release and will support 3D in the PSN version. The lack of major announcements at this year's convention prompted Suda to joke that "this is going to be the biggest announcement of this Gamescom."
