At first I kind of made fun of GarageBand on the iPad because I never thought anyone could make truly compelling music on a touch device. That's all changed after I saw Cult of Mac point out George Lambro's guitar solo on the iPad. I'll let the music speak for itself, but I will say this is how the iPad becomes "magical," as Apple likes to put it. It's not so much what the device can do, but what people can do with the device. This is such a good week for releases that we're not sure if we'd rather be here at home or over in Europe, where DS owners can get a taste of Tingle this week! Not that we're displeased with the array of titles available anywhere, frankly. If only every week could be this week. Except then we would be poor, and would require a very large cardboard-box-house in which to store our massive DS collection. Every rainstorm would see us huddled under a garbage bag in a futile effort to protect our babies. It's not a pretty picture. Drawn to Life Jam Sessions Spelling Challenges and More! Isn't it nice to have a few titles to choose from, rather than being limited to one or two? Weeks like this, even if we're not interested in several of the games personally, we still feel a little spoiled. We could get used to this. A few interesting releases this week, including Picross DS and -- ooh -- Spelling Challenges, the "game" we all need sometimes. Several interesting releases this week in Japan as well, for those of you on import watch. Bratz Ponyz Chameleon: To Dye For! Well, this is a start to solving the Internet's problems. Next up: Learning the Difference Between "Your" and "You're" Challenges! We've received some screenshots of Crave's Spelling Challenges and More!, the spelling-based game show game with over 25,000 words to spell. We can see a sort of Jumble-style anagram game called "Mish Mash" and a "Bomb Blast" game that gives players a limited time to pick out a correctly spelled word from a group of horrible mistakes. The game uses a very simplistic, clean presentation that we find appealing. You love licensed games, don't you? Of course you do! We had a chance to play Crave's upcoming games in a Pre-E3 media event. Games like Napoleon Dynamite and Crayola Adventures were on display, and we played every single thing we could grab our hands on. There was one good game on display ... but which one will it be? The George of the Jungle game ... or the spelling game? Read on to find out. Dave Mirra's BMX ChallengeWhat do you do when you create the worst PSP game of all time? You put it on Wii.%Gallery-4398%

PSP Fanboy and Joystiq got its hands on a lot of different games at Crave's Pre-E3 event. Not many were good. In fact, many were downright terrible. Here's our impressions: Spelling Challenges and More!Honestly, this was the best game available at the event. And, it's not the best bad game. No, it's actually pretty good. Taking a page from Brain Age, this "learning" game has you participating in a spelling challenge. And more! There's hangman, and other language games that'll make your English teacher proud. The game is presented as a game show, and the host is a lot of fun. The game has a great progression in challenge, and its easy to navigate. The PSP version has audio definitions of words, which makes for a far more natural game (the DS version, instead, flashes the word quickly). This game is going to be a ton of fun for the casual market ... who knew spelling could be so entertaining?%Gallery-4404%
