Here's a feel-good story for all you Verizon users looking for some high-end love: the SGH-A990, Samsung's 3.2-megapixel object of desire chock full o' swiveling QVGA and EV-DO goodness, has officially dropped on your network. Bluetooth -- sans A2DP as best we can tell -- and a microSD slot (for those gargantuan pictures you'll be snapping) are also in the package, but getting yourself atop the Verizon food chain ain't cheap: the A990 will run you $349.99 on two-year contract with a $50 rebate.[Via Mobiledia]

We were getting a little sick of hearing Samsung SGH-A990 whispers here and there (and FCC filing thrown in for good measure), which is why we're rather thankful a little bird dropped off these sweet shots of Verizon's forthcoming handset -- one of the first Stateside (let alone from VZW) we've seen to feature a swiveling display. If our expectations are to be fulfilled, this hot little number won't only have EV-DO, but will drop with a QVGA display, MicroSD, Bluetooth, and a fat 3.2 megapixel camera. Expect more details as we get 'em, but for now click on to see some more shots of what may well be many a feature phone users' next device.

We were thinking of sending the FCC some flowers for Valentine's day last February for gifting us year-round with juicy scoops like Samsung's new SCH-A990 (well, kind of new -- see their SCH-Z710, pictured after the break), an EV-DO handset likely to feature a rotating QVGA display, 3.2 megapixel autofocusing camera, Bluetooth, and MicroSD slot. No knowing when this phone will hit the streets, but it'll be on Verizon, and we can assume it'll set you back some bank.[Via Phone Scoop]
